What's a good watch that will be good for boy scouts. I am a cub scout leader and I need to get a good analog watch that is going to be good for scouting. I like the military styles.

What is a good watch under $100 for scouting? I don't have a lot to spend and in would be willing to trade a armitron watch for one of you have one.

$108 is not a bad price. However, these frequently show up on the Deal of the Day sites for much less. You just need to keep your eye out for them.

For young boy's you need something that is uncomplicated, that rules out a mechanical in my book. Eco-Drive is the way to go.

You also need something that will fit their wrists.

Look at this Citizen Eco Drive military model BM8180-03E, 37mm case, 9mm height, day/date, 100m WR and on a canvas strap. $108 on Amazon. Jomashop has them on a Memorial Day sale for $73. http://www.jomashop.com/citizen-bm8180-03e.html

Here is a review on from some guy who calls himself "The Outdoor Nerd" http://www.theoutdoornerd.com/2013/06/review-citizen-bm8180-03e-mens-eco.html

NATO nylon straps cost $10 and there are a million to choose from. This is a great watch at this price.

I'd personally go with the first one. Even with a resin case, it will likely last you a long time. Even if it doesn't, at that price it is cheap enough to consider expendable.

You can't beat a G-Shock in terms of durability, but that Timex has a great track record in my book.
