Being a huge fan of vintage watches I am all over the place reading of the new finds that we get to see pop up every once in a while and the ones that have continued to go through history. I would just like to say my favorite model would be a 6204 textured dial Submariner... Sadly have never seen one in person, maybe one day. I will have to continue looking throughout the grey market. I did find another avid collector while searching for some good eye candy watches and thought that it was a pretty cool origin story into entering the watch market. In a Collection of Luxury Timepieces, One Rolex Stands Out Showing how he got started into his vintage collection I think it is a good read that many of us collectors can connect to. Highlighting a triple calender 6236 and some more pieces that he has collected as well as a little to what goes into making a vintage watch so desireable, Im dieing to see his full collection, that would be a treat. What is your favorite vintage watch, any brand, any price?

Cheers,
Oliver

Such a great topic Oliver, boy oh boy, thanks a bunch for thinking
to ask us this ! (y)(y)😀 I hope you get a chance to see that 6204,
and soon to tell you the truth. 😉😎 It would be something you, or
we would never forget.

And for myself, I am at a much lower level compared to the vintage
watches you, and Mr. Altieri enjoy. 😊..A fantastic article by the way !

For myself it’s very inexpensive funky watches, many below $100
which I enjoy. And ones that always come to mind are the cool coffin
case watches, and just odd asymmetrical cased watches from years
back. :alien:

This for example has always been a favorite. (Not my pic)

Most young people use their phone to tell time. Will they get into watches when they hit 40? Only time will tell.

Maybe people will start wearing Tiaras in the future because of some TikTok influencer..

In the West, luxury watches are jewelry. What's considered hot in one generation is not in the next. Take Tennis Bracelets as an example. They were very popular among the wealthy in Europe in the 1990s. Today I never see a woman wearing one.

So, to answer your question: Who knows?
