Jack Reacher movie?

Watched it last night. I wouldn't have paid for it in the theater but it was alright for 'DVD" purposes. Wished they had casted somebody else as the main character instead of hobbit Tom. He wore those big brown boots the whole time in the movie to get those extra 5 inches of height ;-).

Nevertheless, lots of excellent watch sightings.

Opening scene has the sniper guy checking the time on a black dial Tag Aquaracer 500m (older model with rubber bezel but it still looked damn good).

Then the cop shows a clear shot of a Omega chrono (could be the speedy).

Later on, a woman goes to a Tag boutique to buy a Carrera for her husband
..... Good clear view on that as well).

And this is why Tag/Rolex/Omega are well known wordwide...not so much for quality but the marketing power they possess.

Those that haven't seen the movie yet, these are the watches I'm talking about. Oh...wearing my own Carrera and seeing these movie marketing, PRICELESS :).

Thx.

That was pretty comical, how they chose Tom Cruise of all people to play that 6 foor 5 guy with huge hands. Also , i hate to say it, Reacher does NOT wear any kind of watch in most of his book. He has it set in his head mostly. In the last few recent books, he says in the books, he wears a cheap digital watch that keeps time well enough .
I hate it when they ruin a perfectly good book series .

It is funny how many times watches are featured in a movie. My wife always giggles when a nice watch pops up on the big screen. She knows what I am thinking. We saw this movie when it first came out. It was OK. I called it a cross between Die Hard and a Bourne flick. Certainly worth a rental.
