Is it possible to replace a Seagull ST2555 movement w/ another 'nicer' movement like one from Seiko, Citizen, or even a fancier swiss one?

I'm not sure how one could go about doing this.

I assume the watch casing has to be compatible but am not sure what makes it compatible?
Internal dimensions need to be the same as the movement and face or are there adapter rings or something?

And how about the watch knob? Can I assume the only thing critical is that the dimensions (radius and diameter or hole) are compatable and location on the dial is not as important?

TIA.

Depends on the size, especially the stem height to the center.
The hands may need changing and you would most likely have to cut off the dial feet and use dial dots. You will have to make your own holder, but they have plastic ones you can trim.

I can't seem to find any schematics on the ST25.
