Hi! I was looking around the internet for other owners of the ocw-s100-1ajf and came across this thread.

I also ordered from Seiya around the same time as you (on Christmas Day) and got it 4 days later here in Singapore.

It's a lovely watch, I am sure you will like it too :)

I think I'll put this on an isofrane (maybe blue?) at some point.
I discovered something somewhat disappointing with this watch. The strap is proprietary. The circled areas are actually part of the case.

Some further research would have enlightened me on this fact. A bummer, but still very happy with it. This just limits strap options significantly without modification. Something I would not attempt with an isofrane. I'm glad the stock Ti bracelet is awesome.

Having two similar Citizen Radio Controlled watches I can say, these are so trouble free and accurate that they need absolutely no input from a human to keep going for years, as long as they are getting a good light source on occasions.

That lack of need of human input is what makes them boring to me, as with most quartz battery models also.

Most mechanical watch WIS need that psychological bonding with their watches, and a watch that doesn't need you, leaves something lacking.

Just as in the animal world where different species bond by grooming each other, it’s hard to bond with a watch that doesn’t need you. That’s why I hardly ever wear my Radio Controls and only use them to sync my other watches.

Very illogical, huh?

That is pretty funny... and probably some truth to it. My radio controlled G-shock gets wrist time because it is super casual and I use the timer and stopwatch for working out. If it wasn't for the interaction there it probably would go by the way side.

Now, with that said, I'd still love to get a Seiko Spring Drive for its beautiful technology, and its beautiful style! I'd love that because I'm crazy intrigued by the escapement itself.
