When I was going through my wristwatch annual 2005 magazine checking out Hanhart watches, I actually checked out Harwood watches as well and found out that they patented the first automatic watches. Although the brand is no longer in existence, the last watches they produced were pretty neat in that instead of having a crown you set the time by manipulating its bezel
