With all the little in and out coves and bays that Calif. doesnt have I will go with Maine.

well, yes, WN. FLA does have more than Cali and Maine :b but that's not the question :madd:madd

Maine- 3,478mi
California- 3,427

only 51 miles difference!

I was just funnin....however I am surprised how close in lenth Maine and California's is. Well a few more landslides and CA may just catch up!!

So does that include the river bank which is arguably not a coastline??? Just a thought...

Somebody had to ask.

from the site i got the info from-

Figures were obtained in 1939–1940 with recording instrument on the largest-scale maps and charts then available. Shoreline of outer coast, offshore islands, sounds, bays, rivers, and creeks is included to head of tidewater, or to point where tidal waters narrow to width of 100 feet.
