Which hands?

Let's find out, I said to myself, how hard would it be to scrape the red paint off the hands but leave it in the hollows. How good would it look? So I honed the scalpel, and it turned out that it was easier than I thought it would be. I managed not to scratch up the original golden finish too much, so a light polish shined the hands up better than new. I was not expecting that at all, but I'll take the results from a successful exercise and run with it if it's the best option.
