too hard of a question to answer, i simply can remember, ive had watches since i was a kid, with my father buying them for me. i cant really remember the first watch i bought with my own money.........i was probably like 13.....

but i can tell you the first invicta i ever bought, wich was a 40mm prodiver auto, with orange mop dial....stainless case and bracelet.........was the watch that got me hooked on invicta and shopnbc and wich really started my obsession with watches ...............

The first watch that I bought was a G-Shock. Hell, the first 7 or 8 watches I bought were 'Shocks. My first somewhat expensive watch I bought was a Jakal.

My first was the 40mm Pro Dive TT bracelet and Blue dial. I've only been collecting since may of this year. Tried to start small. Not used to wearing watches alot. Now You can't get them off my wrist. I know it is a hard question, many people have collected for years, Just like to see what people say.

1) very first watch I bought was sometime in the early 80's and was a Casio digital something. It was "wicked" cool at the time and inexpensive

2) my first expensive watch I purchased was in 1990. It was a Locman Briarwood Chronograph, which at the time was very expensive for me. Here is a picture of it -

The first watch that really started it all for me was the Invicta 8926 PD with the coined bezel. Had a few before that but really that is the ONE...

My first was a Wyler I purchased in 1971. That got me started. I am always looking at watches in every and any brick and mortar I come across. My collection has grown in the last year. I just love to read or search the net for different brands. Grand Complications vol III never leaves the side of my bed. All hours of the day do I dream of owning one that is highlighted in this book. Carl

Casio Moon Phase Crono, about the size of quarter. First good watch, not counting the ten or twenty dollar ones.

The first one I bought with my own money (partially, my mom pitched in most of it) was a Casio...the first G-Shock when they came out. It was the 5600 (might have been G5000, dont remember). Im not sure what happened to it, but I wish I still had it.

Hard question. First one I can remember would be a Seiko of some sort that my mom and dad gave me for Christmas many years ago. Watch passed away years ago as well. (Not so fast...see below)

After I posted this it got me thinking so went and dug through a couple of old boxes. I found the Seiko my parents bought for me. Not working. Probably just needs a battery. Can't believe how small it was. Something else I found was an old Fossil watch that I have had for at least 15 years is my guess. Still running and dead on the time just needed the date adjusted.

Also, as far as a watch that I bought personally the Fossil was probably it. Cheap watch but can't believe it was still running. I didn't really know anything at all about watches back then....and probably only really knew of Rolex as being a top watch.

I always had watches. Always loved them..I really didnt start collecting until 2004. So here it goes. My first watch was a generic swatch watch back when i was very young. I then have a movado that i received as a gift. Then in the early 90's i bought a fossil that i truly loved and bought a few of them..They were awesome. 1995 when i was starting out as a stock broker i bought a 2 tone ESQ diver and loved it so much. I then moved onto a few other watches cant remember them any longer gave them away. Next stop was a Tag Kirium and that was it for me. I only wanted to buy higher end watches. It had a blue dial. Then shopnbc came into play and bought a bunch of watches. Then i received my Breitling 2 years ago and then my SWI LE V7751 and a few more shop watches. So all in all i have about 20 watches and im sure some other watches in between that i have and forgot about. I am taking my collection in another direction and only buying about 2 watches per year now but they will be higher end.

i think, and i stress think, because i just can not remember - that my first watch was an all white plane swatch watch. i remember my brothers and sisters all having one and i had one also. that is all i can remember.

first ever was a casio digital in the 80's -cant remember which

First one of the obscession was about 2005
-Invicta 40MM PD white MOP dial / Green Bezel
with a Miyota Auto Movement -still have it

If memory serves me right, I think it was a Pulsar with a Gold and Gunmetal finish on the case and bracelet. With a rectangular case and quartz movement.

BOTH plating wore quite quickly bnut it was a daily wear watch and it was back in the late 80s. I was working so that was the first watch I bought for myself!

I am pretty sure my first watch was a Casio if I remember right. But my first high end purchase was in 1990. I bought a Tag, that I still have. The battery died a while back, and I have not worn it for years. But I just can't part with it, since it is the watch that started the madness!!

It was a Waltham quartz w/ Spandex band in '60 or'61.......that's 1900's...not 1800's!

It was 1970. $10 Timex. Still have it & it runs just fine. No longer wear it.

1982, basic training at Ft. Benning, GA. I was 19. A cheap gold something-or-other....because everyone else was.

Never wore a watch before that. Then started wearing Casios, Seikos, Fossils. Improved from there.......
