David I have been riding bikes for 55 years and Harleys for the past 44 years. presently ride a chopped v-rod with suppertrapp pipes know what they sound like. dont think much of Hondas

I didn't start this thread, LOL

I got spanked for jazzing Rip it Ron for his Honda in the G10 vs 8215 thread... I was trying to equate Harleys with automatics and quartz watches with Ron's Honda.

The joke was funnier in context (if you d/l'ed the ppt)

But Harleys are definitely sweet. I actually have no problem with ANY bike. Some of my best friends ride HONDAS, LOL

I have had a bike since I was 14. I've done the dirt bike bike thing, sport bike, Harley, Custom w/Evo, Import Cruiser.......in the end, you just ride.:c:c

Been riding for almost 40 years now. All Harleys and one 2003 Indian Chief Vintage because Linda wanted that one. Sold it last year and sorry I did. Still have two Harleys. 99 Fat Boy........ last year that they put the Evo in it and a 51 Panhead Hydroglide being restored...... sweet. Although I love Harleys, I don't really care what anyone rides. If ya love to ride and "your ride" is a Honda, Yamaha or anything else it's cool, but these guys with rice burners that like to go 110 in rush hour traffic are just plain "Stupid To The Bone"!! JMHO.

My department has been using Harley's and Kawasaki's for years, but recently we switched over to BMW and they are sweet rides. I'm not a big fan of MC's, but if I were to buy one I would get a BMW Motorcycle. Now I know that MC experts can find many faults with the BMW, but personally they look nicer and ride better IMHO.

Hey brother like I stated, I have no issues with Harley's at all, they are a cool bike. They just have low budget technology in them. You tear apart a Harley down too every nut and bolt, and then do the same to a Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and you will find that there is no wonder why a Japanese V-Twin last as long as they do, and perform like they do. Now I will say I would own a Ultimo, Patrick racing, S & S Billet motor over any Honda, but I would take a 1300 CC or a 1800 CC Honda V-twin over any Harley motor any day. Including the V-Rod motor!!! Which was design and built by Porche originally! Smart move by Harley, being they had no clue how to build a water cooled V-Twin.

I wonder how well did the air cooled Volkswagen motor fair in the technology world?

I think I just squirted Bro!! Love that bike!! "Bad AZZ"!!!! But you know me and Harleys. I've owned them for so long and logged so many miles on'em that it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Always had good luck with my HD's. No complaints. Just the same Bro, if ya want me to take that for a spin, I'd be glad to do a comparison anytime!! :b

Those BMW's are bad, they handle well they have great power band and the braking system is incredible.

Arnie a conversion is anything I want. What I want is for you to ride brother and you do. I dont car if a guy is on a Honda 250 rebel, or a Road king. I rode a 04 Fatboy for 2 yrs, loved that bike!

I hear ya Ron! I have ridden with alot of guys that don't ride Harleys. Don't matter to me at all as long as we are all havin a good time and no one is gettin crazy and jeopordizing the riders. Motorcycles and watches. Two of my favortie things in life. Wouldn't it be great to get a Freek/Geek motorcycle run goin? Hmmmmm. Now there's somethin to think about!
