ultra impressive because I was thinking the watch actually might

I'm sorry to disagree but this (Area 51) guy is mistaken; a much more reasonable test would be to drop it in the grill - then slather it with bbq sauce; simmer 6 hours then turn it over.
If tender (and tasty) then it passes.

You are correct, but I'm from the deep south and cold is not a factor.
Grilling is, and so is bbq sauce; tow maa too; too ma tow - huh?
