Hey, well thanks a lot for the recommendation on "Pillars of the Earth" sir. ;) You have to wonder if they will make a big budget
show out of that at some point as well. 😄I haven't read the
book, or seen any movies made for it. But you can imagine it's
been at least talked about, or semi-planned by more than a few
people already.

It's funny Hector, in actuality you are a huge Game of Thrones
fan, and were probably planning on watching the show after you
finished those books right?! (y) But because both the stories,
and story writers of both the books, as well as the show let you,
or us down, you will probably never watch the show. It really
is sad right?! Because people like yourself were really into the
whole story. And just really looking forward to seeing how
everything would turn out. But I bet you like most, maybe had
an optimistic view. ..Or were hoping to see certain things happen
that might be good, instead of depressing, dark, or nonsensical
even. And then when you saw the books actually wouldn't be
finished, that was the last straw.

It sounds like the both of us were both disappointed sir. By two
sides of the same coin that was this show, or book. ..You didn't
watch the show because you were reading the books that won't
ever get finished. While I didn't read the book, and won't see the
end of the show because of the way it went down hill. At least
both the books, and show were consistent in that I guess. 😁

Thanks a lot for the video by the way ! ..I actually watched it to
see just how bad of a direction the final episode went in. And
yeah, I'm glad I didn't waste the hours watching it. Thank you
again !!!

I have just watched King Tut in colour (previously recorded). The quest of Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon to find the burial chamber of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The original black and white films were digitised, restored and after that colourised on the computer. Astonishing! Apart from the news and the occasional movie, documentaries like these are about they only programs I watch.

Very nice Steve, it looks neat just from the previews, or trailers . 😎

Thanks a lot for the report !!! ..And Frans, that King Tut documentary
sounds just terrific honestly. 😮 I’ve seen different specials over the
years, but that one sounds extra awesome ! ..Thanks a ton for the
report, as well as review !!!

Here's just a taste of the Justice League Snyders Cut!!!

In May 2017, Snyder stepped down during post-production following the death of his daughter, and Joss Whedon was hired to finish the film.

I'm sorry to say Joss Whedon made a mess of the film.

The Snyder cut couldn't be shown in theaters in its current form due to it being 4 hours long!

My daughter mentioned a 4hr DC flick when we were pulling up the Avengers. Since you brought this up I'll have to get her review. I thought she said it was dark.

Cropping a movie in half is just wrong.

“This film is presented in a 4:3 format to preserve the integrity of Zack Snyder’s creative vision.”

The 2.39:1 aspect ratio is traditionally the preferred format for action blockbusters in the last 20 years, as it provides the widest common frame for films shot with 35mm cameras (and digital cameras mimicking them)—as opposed to say, using specially designed 70mm cameras which could go much wider. Yet upon seeing the alternating aspect ratios on BvS, Snyder came to the conclusion he’d like all of Justice League to have a uniformly square frame that could fill an entire IMAX screen. And rather than shoot a whole film in IMAX—which has never been done due to the technical imitations of bulky IMAX cameras—Snyder opted to shoot the film on 35mm with a 1.33:1 aspect ratio.

The effect is virtually indistinguishable from the Academy ratio of 1.37:1, which is the format used by any number of cinema classics like Citizen Kane, Casablanca, and The Adventures of Robin Hood (which, by the by, are all on HBO Max). However, prior to the Snyder Cut, the intent was always to present the film in a square frame in IMAX while cropping the upper and lower portions of the image for regular movie theaters (and presumably home media), creating a 1.78:1 aspect ratio, which is closer to another Hollywood standard for widescreen use. This is what “the Whedon Cut” ultimately did.

In 2020, Snyder explained at Justice Con his rationale for releasing the Snyder Cut in a 4:3 frame on HBO Max (the closest TV standard to 1.33:1) and foregoing the original plan to crop the image for widescreen televisions:

I'm sorry to bring this up, but I want to share with you what I watched. I rarely watch movies, mostly I like to watch serials. The plot is much more interesting in soap operas. You get to love the main character, and you want to watch more and find out more. So the last show I watched was Lucifer. I love it so much when they show something divine. There's plenty of divine in this show. Many people think that Lucifer is evil incarnate, but he was actually created to punish evil. I stopped at the episode where the devil went to Las Vegas. This city is insanely beautiful, especially where there are casinos, karaoke, and stuff like that. In my opinion, it's a show worth watching because you get to see American cities like L.A. in a very unusual way.

We were getting free Epix over the weekend, and watched
a movie called Love and Monsters. ❤🦑 Thought it was
very well done, and just was a fun movie. Plus the ending
was neat as well which made me like it even more. (y)(y)

Would recommend it. 🙂

The wife and I are watching the Avengers part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in timeline order. This has also included watching Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. So we are currently on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3.

Tonight I'll be watching the two-part Season 5 finale of Rick and Morty! :D(y)
I've been waiting 3 weeks for it as it was delayed for 3 weeks for unknown reasons?

Maybe this is the Raiders year Steve ! 😀🏈 (y)

By the way, I recorded those last two episodes of
Rick and Morty, But haven’t watched them. 😊

Partly because I want to save them because I know
there are always long waits between seasons. And
just want to pretend the season isn’t over yet. 😉

Alain, those two sound terrific ! 😀 Have actually
been wanting to check out a couple more shows,
and they sound like fun ones !! 😎😎

P.S. always enjoyed the old Top Gear too by the way.
