Was thinking this would be fun since it鈥檚 basically a Halloween weekend
that is coming up. 馃檪 So what are some of your favorite scary movies?

Maybe you just have one, or a few. Maybe you have so many it鈥檚 scary. 馃懟

Oh, and are you more a fan of older horror movies, or newer ones?
And do you have any recommendations?

In any case, Happy Halloween everyone ! 馃巸

Wow, that鈥檚 one I have not seen in a while Steve. 馃槻(y)

I remember it being really creepy, but funny at the same exact time.
And my younger cousins were totally horrified by it. 馃槷 Because I
think it was one of the first times we saw clowns being mean, and
diabolical. 馃ぁ Now today we actually see it more often than not with
clowns in everything from commercials, and tv shows, to movies
right?!

We can thank Killer Clowns from Outer Space for a lot of it. 馃槃
Along with you for joining the conversation sir !!!

My electric bill... It's scary!!!

Hmmm... Cabin in the Woods I liked as it was essentially a piss-take on the entire horror film franchise, I kind of liked that.

Generally, I am not a fan of horror films, I've watched a few, just don't get the attraction. And then there is stuff like the Human Centipede (which I have only heard of, not seen) which just makes you ask "why would someone make that film?"

But, something like Sleepy Hollow is "spooky", without being horror... Maybe one could consider Interview with a Vampire a spooky film? I don't know, it's more melodrama to me.....

Super 8 ? Is that scary for kids ?

I don't know...

馃槃 Ah Yes, the Electric Bill, that鈥檚 definitely one of the scariest FB ! 馃榿
They are supposedly working on the sequels I had heard too btw. 馃槵

Seriously though, I don鈥檛 watch a ton of scary movies either. But was
thinking since it was nearly Halloween, that it might be cool to talk
about. And it seems like at least on this side of the pond, that every
other channel has something Halloweenish on this week. From TV
Shows like Chucky, to Reginald the Vampire. And there are a lot of
movies as well.

Oh, and I 鈥榤 going to have to put Cabin in the Woods on the list by
the way. (y) I saw Cabin Fever years ago, but not Cabin in the Woods.
And Sleepy Hollow, and Super 8 are worth watching again too.

Thanks so much FB !!!

Human Centipede I might leave off though. 馃槃

The Shining.
Not really scary, but I like Evil Dead 2.

Ooh nice one Jun, haven鈥檛 watched the Shining in a long time
either. 馃槷 There are so many scenes in that movie that are just
unforgettable. Honestly the whole feel of the movie is spooky. 馃槻
And speaking of spooky, Rob, Evil Dead, or Evil Dead 2 rocks ! 馃槑
Between the way those movies were done, and the amazing
Bruce Campbell, those movies in general were scary good. 馃拃馃榾

By the way Rob, did you by chance ever watch Ash vs. Evil
Dead too? ..That was cool as well. 馃槈

Really want to thank you both for joining in on the fun !!! 馃巸

I have not seen any Ash movies. I know they have a cult following because Bruce would come to my little college town and everyone would be excited.

You would like them a lot I think Rob. 馃榾 There is a lot of humor in
them. With Ash vs. Evil Dead actually being a TV series that was on
Starz just a few years back. (y) ..I believe that it鈥檚 actually on Netflix
if I鈥檓 not mistaken nowadays.

P.S. that鈥檚 something that he visited your town like that. Wow, what
a coincidence sir !

I am a horror movie fan but for me, it is hard to say what my favorite horror movie is because within the genre there are subgenres from slasher/serial killer, suspense who done it, supernatural horror, monsters and demons, body horror, sci-fi, disturbing movies meant to shock your senses. The movies I have a hard time watching are terrifying movies based on true-life cases like The Girl Next Door and An American Crime both of these movies tell the true story of Sylvia Likens, a girl tortured to death by Gertrude Baniszewski, her children, and kids from the neighborhood in Indiana, 1965, it was hard to sit through both these movies without my emotions getting the best of me. If I had to pick my favorite I would have to say either 1982 The Thing, or Alien, but I enjoyed The Shining, Rosemary's Baby and the Exorcist.

I never watched the show Burn Notice when it was on, but for some reason my wife and I got cracked out watching the series a few years ago. Campbell played an ex-CIA agent and did a great job. Great show. Lots of good actors.

Bob, wow, I can see that you have some excellent taste in scary movies
no matter what sub genre sir. 馃槈 Those true life movies would maybe be
too scary for me. 馃槸 The whole being real theme would probably give me
nightmares. 馃槉 ..And even though The Thing, Alien, the Shining, along
with Rosemary鈥檚 Baby, and the Exorcist can also, at least I know that they
are made up. 馃檪

Some real classics there Bob !!!(y)(y)

And Rob, that is so neat hearing about you guys getting into Burn Notice
like that. 馃檪馃檪 That shows was great right?! ..It was one of my favorite
shows years back, and still is. And yes, Sam Axe was the character that
he played if I鈥檓 not mistaken. 馃榾

A cool character played by a cool guy !! 馃槑馃槑

I haven't seen the Lighthouse Sir Lawyer Aidroos, so that's going definitely
going on the list. 馃榾 Interview with the Vampire was a cool one, and by the
way, there is actually a new Interview with the Vampire show too. But I have
not actually watched an episode yet sir.

Steve, Annihilation was definitely scary sir, in fact it was very scary. 馃槻There
was an ominous feel in which it had. Plus the twists were surprising as well.

Want to thank you both for adding to the list, as well as for joining in on the fun !!!
