Hey guys,

ok, so this post has nothing to do with watches... but i need to vent

First of all, i got a letter today from the police saying that they want me to re take the interview because they liked what they saw but want to make some things certain... I have to wait over a month for that. I know it isnt really bad news but it kinda annoyed me, Im too impatient i guess. :whatever:

And second of all, My girlfriend is hanging on by the skin of her teeth today, I wont really go into detail because its personal to me but lets just say that nobody speaks to me like the way she did, for no real reason... Now all im getting is the sorry and crying. Im a person who will not hang around if im unhappy!! She knows that. So, sorry about that but i needed to vent a bit i think...

Well Dane, not to minimize the situation my friend, but................... Just be glad she's only your girlfriend & not YOUR WIFE!!! :lol Then............. you would have a problem!! :wf

Dane, when we have days like you are having today, and I am also having today, I like to take a big BIG step backwards and breath - and breath alone somewhere.

Normally that stops anything you might regret later from being said, and gives you a chance to calm down, whether you actually need to or not.

I am currently doing this exact thing, lol

Hey Dane,

Sorry about the day your having. I wouldn't worry to much about the interview because a second interview means your pretty close to in. I'd be happy on that note. The girl friend thing, well I'd go out and visit some watch stores or something. What you have posted is a common occurrence from both wives and girlfriends. Just be glad you can walk out anytime you want, especially walk out alone.

I agree with James just stop and take a breath. Go surf some watches on the internet to occupy your mind. If you feel like you did good on your Police interview then don't sweat it. Like many jobs they probably want to interview you a second time. Not that unusual.

Maybe they want to get a second look at that watch, too.

After all tomorrow is a new day.

Looks like you've gotten some good advice already concerning your girlfriend.

The only thing I would add is to remember that you don't need to make any decisions in this moment. There's always tomorrow.

I am the "King" of acting/saying what I feel in the moment, then spending the next day, week, month, etc. making amends for what I said/did. Maybe someday I'll wait a day before reacting! :lol

Hey Bro;

A second interview is a good thing, it is usually a sanity check with a higher up to validate the choice by the first interview team (unless the checked your terrorist ties :%) How ever trite and overused it is better to have a relationship fall apart BEFORE marriage and children. This way you get to judge how much baggage you would have to put up with cause it only gets worse, not better.

You gave gotten some good advice. Im dealing with the women thing now and everyone was very helpful. As far as the job goes, the second interview is great. So what if you have to wait another month. This is what you want to do with your life and if it means waiting one more month then so be it.

Already said....second interview is great news. I rarely don't hire somebody I've brought in twice.

Girls......another story....unfortunately they don't come with a manual..Good advice, don't say anything you will regret later. Wait and only speak with a clear head and not an emotional one.....this will carry you a long way no matter if this relationships works out or not.

I have no idea how the hiring process is done in England, but I would say that if they want to meet with you a second time that is a good thing. When I do background investigations on new hires I interview the candidate and then if the Department likes my review the candidate thenmeets with the Chief of Police for a second interview. Don't be worried my friend. If they didn't want you then they would have sent you a letter advising you that you are no longer eligible or even worse no letter at all.

As for your lady troubles, man that I can't help you with. Women are complicated and I have no business giving you any advise in that department. As Arnie said, just be grateful your not married with kids and having these problems Ha Ha LOL!!!

When a man is feeling negative, I treat him like a tornado, I lay low & wait for it to blow over, I don't know if that could apply to afemale or not.

As for the job, I'd say it's yours...I've never requested a second meeting with someone I had no intention of hiring...I don't think any business minded person would waste their valuable time doing so unless they were quite certain that you are the man for them...Good luck !

Sorry you are having "a day" UK. Women.....what can ya say? Just remember, the best and the worst things in life come from the ones you love the most. Be a gentlemen, let things lie a bit...regroup and see what's what.
