Dear forum members,

been working on modding a seiko skx007 and had a friend who modded seiko before to replace the bezel.

He happened to stumble upon a problem and it seems the fixed edge of the case is different then his seiko skx007.

The bezel i bought doesn’t hold. He can take it off with ease (seen on photo) and put it on and off.
The photo where the fixed bezel edge is circled is the watch we want to mod.

Do i have a corrupted seiko or wrong bezel?
Bezel is bought by DLW Watches and made for skx007 (see photo).

Bought it online from another individual.
it has a arabic day dial as well and is the Japenese version.

He used locktide on the springbars which was weird as well so had to cut these when changing watchstrap.

Hello Relic, and welcome ! (y)

This has to be really annoying for you I would imagine, wow. 😕
And I was going to just say that I was stumped, until Trip said
it might not be a genuine SKX. 😉 That really could be the issue
that’s causing all of this. It just makes sense.

The only other thing it could be is the bezel isn’t correct as you
said. Or when the watch was modded in the past that something
with the bezel area was changed.
