So I did something stupid, got a new g-shock gwg 1000, was messing with it all day and left the crown out, hopped in the shower and realized crown is still out. Now what, is water gonna be inside or just leave the crown for a bit to dry out behind it?

Just let it dry, it has 1 or 2 small rubber rind at the crown axis level preventing water to inside, to if you have not done a 40 meters scuba diving with the crown pulled out: all should be OK, no shower can damage this beauty :)

I'm no Casio WR expert but I tend to agree with rafy1.
Just let nature take it's course and let the watch dry on
it's own.

Although I dont own that particular model G it's on my
bucket list.

Thanks for the reassurance guys, I figured it must have secondary seals, I'm leaving the crown out for 24 hours that should be plenty.

FWIW, I showered with the crown out on my Casio Duro. I realized my mistake and let it sit with the crown out for a day or two. No ill effects. It functions just fine. If the Duro can handle a shower with the crown out, the mighty Mudmaster can surely take it.
