Last year was my first opportunity to attend a WatchBuys Road Show, private watch show/event. This year they again had an event in my home town in Orange County, CA. I was lucky enough to be able to attend Sunday afternoon and took several pictures with my phone. I thought I would share some pics of the fantastic watches that were on display.

It was a great chance to see in person and handle some pretty incredible watches. I didn’t take pics of everything, but here are some of my favorites…

Junghans
This isn’t my typical style of watch (I’m pretty much into divers), but there’s something about the full crystal on these and the simplicity…. It would be pretty cool to have one of these in the collection.

Sinn (oh, to be a Sinner)
We’ll start out with 3 limited edition variants:
3006 Hunter – I'm digging the green dial on this one….

The much talked about EZM 1.1 LE

And the 556 blue dial LE

On to the non-LE versions
The 103 St acrylic and sapphire crystals were a couple of my favorites last year. They’re still singing to me……. (sorry for the crappy pic)

I'm really liking something about the 104 UTC (Titanium)

The dial on the 756 diapal is pretty cool

The 6099 Frankfurt has an incredible looking dial

How about some Fortis?
I really liked this. I usually like dive style bezels, but something about this with the tachy was ringing my bell. The dial color was pretty cool as well, kind of a dark gray, bordering on black. I could really see going after one of these in the future….

I prefer the bracelet on this one, but I prefer the watch head of the model above

OK, now how about some German handmade time pieces? To simply call these watches or time pieces doesn’t do them justice. They are works of art and my crappy pics cannot do them justice.
Benzinger

Dornbluth & Sohn

Jaeger & Benzinger

Kudoke

Thomas Ninchritz

And finally some Hanhart

I saw the Desert Sand version of the Hanhardt Primus Pilot at the show last year and I really liked it (and I still do)….

…..but this year they had a new model in a OD green and I'm really, really, really liking it. My phone didn’t do a very good job of capturing the dial color on this one.

As Bugs Bunny said: That's all folks.
I hope you enjoyed the tour.

Went to a Watchbuys roadshow a few years back, in Chicago at Trump Towers.

You are treated like a king and you get to look at the watches up close and personal and get a feeling for them you can't obtain just looking at photos. Some of the Sinn watches that looked tasty on the net, just didn't ring my bell in person, the U1 which I didn't like on the net, kind of blew me away and I ended up buying one.

One of the brands of watches they displayed back then was the Dornblueth & Son, although their style of watch isn't my cup of tea I was amazed at the quality, fit and finish, right up there with the big boys.

I have to agree. Having the opportunity to handle them and take a close-up look is very nice. The only rule is that they ask you to not buckle the leather straps so that they stay fresh.

The Dornbluth and Sohn was pretty incredible. Actually, all of the hand made watches were amazing. The attention to detail is incredible and it blows my mind when I think about the time and effort that went into them.

One things for certain. No one would have to pour gasoline on me and
threaten to set me afire to take just one of the collection (especially the
Sinn)

I'd request you bequeath em to me in their entirety if I was going to out-
live you. I doubt that will happen since I'm 80 y o.

Meister Pilot Blue...?? How do they come up with that? It sure looks black to me. I'd like to have it, but I'll stick with the version that came out last year...

As you know... they are gorgeous in person!

Great pix and great report, thanx!

Both color combinations are just amazing. The intricately shaped satan black bezel with the black dial or the polished bezel with the blue dial such as yours. I would grace any of the two to me can collection, no questions asked. I feel like a middle school child crushing over a girl, I just love the bezels in combination with the domed glass. It’s got curves and I loved my crushes curvy.

I even dig her backside...

Carries the "domed" theme, even to the back!

PS: The dial on mine is like a dark charcoal with the vintage lume.
