After my friend ditched our friends for a farewell dinner celebration just for her. Out of my friendly gesture, I still got up early morning to take her to the airport even though I slept like at 3am the night before.

The nice thing I have done for someone is that a priest from my parish has an old, beat up cheap watch he wears. He always admires the watches I wear, so over the holidays I gave he a 50 mm watch from my collection. You talk about a happy man. It felt good to give someone something they admire and would not be able to buy for themselves.

The first nice thing I did for someone in 2011 is that my parish priest wears an old delapidated watch. He always admires the watches I wear so I gave him a 50mm watch that he admired from my collection. You talk about a happy man. He loved it and now he is a watch freek.

I hid the keys of our good friends around 1:30 am after a great meal of sushi and sake. The drive home and more adult beverages...and of course Champagne! They left the next morning bright eyed and bushy tailed! NOT!

As I have done almost every week for over a year, I scheduled out of work on Tuesday January 4th to take my 91 year old, FORMER mother-in-law to chemotherapy and lunch. She has a very difficult time even getting out of bed, so although there is NOTHING good about chemo treatments, I know this small gesture brightens her day beyond measure. Technically, this may have been my second good deed of 2011, as on New Years Day I toasted my ex-wife and her new husband on their wedding day. While many may not understand the gesture, I know our amazing teenage kids (and the rest of the wedding party) appreciated the sincere well-wishes.

I have a co-worker who always enjoys seeing all the different watches I own. He always gets excited when he notices a new one on my wrist, but I noticed that he never wears one himself. So a week ago I bought him the Stauer Guitar watch (He's an avid guitar player)and he FREEKED OUT!!!
I must say, buying watches for myself can be quite satisfying, but buying for others is TRULY BLISS!!

Bless all of you for your many kindnesses, you are all Secret Angels in my book!

Had a co worker who had to have emergency surgery and will be out of work for an undetermined time period. This is a new hire and had little if no sick or vacation time built up. I donated 80 hours of shared leave and the best thing is they will never know who donates unless I chose to tell. It's was one of those just do it things and don't tell the person I've been hearing about. Glad to share it with my watch freek family regardless of a win or not. Help someone and don't let them know is a total different level of paying it forward. Angel karma spreading around the world one freek at a time.

This may not be a big deal to most but I Babysat a fellow Watchfreeks home so he could take his wife & daughter on a well deserved vacation and I took care of his 2 Pitbulls, 2 very large Turtles & a pretty good sized Bearded Dragon Lizard! I was well paid after seeing how happy they all were when they returned after a week at 6 Flags, Universal Studio's! They both work very stressful Jobs & this was their 1st vacation in a couple of years. Heck I even had to be there for a new Strap that was delivered & a Benarus that he had pre-paid several month's ago! I didn't even open either of them which was a real test of friendship & self control on my part! lol I sort of spoiled the dog's because on several occasion's I woke up next to a Pit Bull licking my face because they had decided to sleep in the bed with me but I kept that between us, no harm no foul!! So thats what I did for someone & I'm throwing my hat in the ring for that beatiful timepiece!! Thx. alot

Well , me and my wife have a pair of mutual friends who have (4) kids , all under the age of 8(1,2.5,4 and 8), and one on the way. Well they are always busy with work , volunteering, and of course their kids. So me and my wife thought it would be nice to go and volunteer our babysitting skills and watch their kids for the whole evening. So we trekked in a snow storm and let them have a breather to themselves.:)

While I haven't done anything to help a specific person this year yet, I did finally become a blood donor. I've been meaning to do it for a while and finally got my ass into gear. It really is a lazy way to do something good but at least it may help someone. They say that in Australia 1 in 3 people will require blood in their lifetime, but only 1 in 30 donate. I know that if I needed blood for any reasonI would be sooo grateful to those that do donate, soI thought that I shouldreturn the gesture for someone else. I'm not going to enter thegiveaway as this watch just isn't my style, and I wouldn't want to take it from someone that really appreciated it, Ijust thought I'd share.Looks like there are a great bunch of people here, GOOD ON YA FREEKS.

About this time last year a very dear friend of our family passed away from ALS. This was the first holiday season her family had to spend without her, so we made them a huge Christmas meal and took over to them. I know that was last year, but bare with me. They were so thankful that it almost brought tears to the eyes of myself and my family. The date that she actually passed away was 1/14, so this passed Saturday my whole family went over to their house and took them out to breakfast and then took them out to run errands, go shopping, whatever they needed to do. My wife, mother and I took the husband and oldest daughter to see a movie that they both really wanted to see. My kids took the younger kids to see a Disney movie.

Just our way of helping through a hard day. Of course, tears were shed by both families, but it seemed to help both sides by having someone there to lean on.

A colleague of mine recently started a very clandestine organization that has given a single mom and her 5 year old daughter, who is a breast cancer survivor, a trip to Walt Disney World, and full use of a home with a staff, off site, plus any and all other expenses. To see how moved the mom was, coupled with how excited the little girl was, was amazing.

The girl is truly extraordinary and, as most young girls, is a lover of the Disney Princesses.

I was very taken by the story and happen to know a woman through my work as a photographer who performs at parties (hired through Disney) as a Princess. I spoke to her, then told the mom of the idea: when she returns from The Magic Castle, we will be giving the girl a package containing all of the Disney Princess dresses, and I'll be producing her very own photo shoot, complete with makeup artists and people making fusses over her... The mom is over the moon, and hasn't told her daughter yet.

I'm hopeful the mom will participate, too. They get back a week from tomorrow.
