Finally pulled the trigger and ordered my first Vostok. I figured it was time to evaluate a Vostok for myself and add a Russian watch to my collection. I think I'm gonna really like it (y). Now I wait patiently......

Congrats - is the matching blue nato what's coming?

Be prepared for the crown to be wonky, otherwise for minimal $ you get a funky new automatic with decent WR.

Thanks, and yes it's coming with the blue nato. I may end up getting a black rubber strap for it.

I watched a video of a watchmaker reviewing this watch so I have a pretty good idea what to expect. I'm sure the crown will take some getting used to but it seems the overall build quality of the watch is pretty decent. Hope it gets here in the next few weeks.

Ooh neat Rob, and holy cow, what a choice for your first Vostok ! 🤯
This whole look with the new Komandirskie is off the charts cool,
and really eye-catching !!! 😵👀 Kind of feels vintage just because
of the of the acrylic covered bezels. But then you know they are
super sleek, as well as modern. It's going to be fun waiting right
along with you Rob !

Looks terrific with that Nato already. A GIGANTIC congrats 2 U sir !!! 😀

Don’t mention it Rob ! 😉 Hey, wow, is that awesome?! Or what?!
That is just THE coolest to hear sir. Guess we can thank Chaz for
really shining a light on Russian watches lately. 😀Especially Vostok.

Really hope this one gets to you fast Rob !

The watch has moved from Mother Russia to the Netherlands. Now it just has to complete it's journey from the Netherlands to North Carolina. It's almost halfway here! (y)

Who did you order from?

You will love the watch and the crown you will get used to in short order, especially with the No-Date model.

I have 7 Vostocks and haven't had one iota of problems with any of them.

If you opted for UPS delivery you would have gotten it in less than 10 days. My Yellow dial which was sent by Russia Post, just hit JFK Airport in NYC today, 34 days after I ordered it?

I opted for Air Mail but it has arrived in the Netherlands 4 days after I ordered it. I'm optimistic it'll arrive at my door within about 2 - 2.5 weeks. If not, no big deal. I have plenty of other watches to play around with until it arrives.

All in all 3 weeks ain't too bad. Unless you pay extra, that's about the average in my experience. I had one get from Russia to San Francisco, then never make it to Seattle from SF.

Yeah, honestly is pretty impressive if you really think about it like
Eric is saying. (y) (y) Although I could feel you getting a little
antsy about things, and were beginning to wonder. 😉 Thankfully
it all worked out, and as you said, was really really worth the wait ! 😎
I swear every time seeing this watch I like it even more, and I really
liked it to start off with. 😄 The case alone is exceptional, and has
so many neat angles, along with beautiful finishing !

However, the dial, and bezel are stunning, and must be epic there
in person ! ..Looks extra awesome on the Nato too !!! Can tell that
you are already enjoying sir. A HUMONGOUS congrats here Rob !!!
