From Wikipedia
The Vostok-Europe brand of watches debuted in 2004, aimed at the Western European market. These watches are assembled by the Koliz Company of Vilnius, Lithuania.

The Name Vostok-Europe is confusing, though the company has not any link with the famous Russian watch maker Vostok. Some Vostok-Europe watches are equipped with a Russian Vostok movement.

Vostok-Europe watches, due to their materials and finishing, cost several times the amount of an "ordinary" Vostok, but they have higher quality.

Though the company is a post-Soviet company, though it is Lithuanian and not a Russian company as they may pretend in some of their communications, the company's motto is The Best Soviet Technologies for Modern Watch Design.

Recently, the Vostok-Europe brand was introduced to the United States market via the cable television shopping network Shop at Home. As of 2007, a dealer network is beginning to form in North America.

As I have posted in the past, I have many VE's. The Energia series is the top of the line IMO. As you probably know, http://www.russia2all.com/ is the site that is most popular when considering "Russian" time pieces. Craig Hester is a great guy to deal with as well and he is also the main distributor of these pieces in the U.S. If dealer networks are developing, he is where they are getting the pieces from. FYI.

If you want a "Russian" time piece, deal with him. He will bend over backwards to try and accomodate you. I know. Done alot of buying from him.
