FWIW. After trying out both...I want the Black Bay instead. The Black Bay Dark in my sights.
^^^ well really, who cares what others think, I don't.
FWIW, I've more or less decided on a Tudor Black Bay MT2516 movement. Also be aware of what may be released in the next 3 to 5 years. Tutor (for example) may announce a new NorthFlag without the yellow. Or Seiko may ... I dunno.
Never stop looking at the new releases and other brands while you save and wait. Also, in 3 to 5 years you may be able to pick one of these up gently used and save more.
At 3 to 5 years out odds are real good you will be deciding between two other watches when your ready. =) Of these I would take the GS. =)
There is no such thing...Yeah but now I want to know what an unofficially certified chronometer is
ExactlyThere is no such thing...
I'm not so sure I would get the model with the in-house movement, a movement that for right now is unproven compared to the Top Grade 2824-2 and will make it hard to have serviced or repaired anywhere other then a Rolex/Tudor service center.FWIW, I've more or less decided on a Tudor Black Bay MT2516 movement.
Blue bezel.
Tried it on at the A.D.
Have never seen anything so beautiful *LOL*

Am I missing something ? What are you getting at ? The picture you posted says Officially Certified. Where does unofficially come into the picture ?Exactly
When has Rolex/Tudor ever crapped the bed on making a movement ?I'm not so sure I would get the model with the in-house movement, a movement that for right now is unproven compared to the Top Grade 2824-2 and will make it hard to have serviced or repaired anywhere other then a Rolex/Tudor service center.
Tudor making an unreliable movement would be the watch scandal of the decadeWhen has Rolex/Tudor ever crapped the bed on making a movement ?
Where else would you send it if you had problems ?
