I am honestly upset that the current season is over. It was better then ever and I agree that the show is brilliant. There is not reall another show with better writing and story lines.

I love Fringe and Heroes also, but they do not compare to this show overall. Being on HBO helps and gives them a wider range of grpahic content.

I already miss this show and it just ended for this season yesterday, lol.

Well Sookie is definitely something and not human. She seems to have ongoing powers that keep emerging. I can't wait to see what she really is and obviously the entire story line, both in their local area, and beyond - revolves around her.

I definitely agree with everything you said. The Lafayette thing seemed to be way over the top for there not to be a sub story behind it.
My wife has read the Charlaine Harris books also. just can't help herself. She definitely loves all things True Blood. She loves the book series but she isn't upset that Ball i s putting his flair on it. The more True Blood, the better, for her.

Who else is watching the new season? So far I think it is really good and I like the direction the story line seems to be heading. I love this show.

I watched the first 2 seasons . . . then I canceled my HBO this past winter (because I wasn't really watching anything besides True Blood).

Damn, I miss it! :BE

I miss my Sunday nights with Sookie! :WW

I think I'm going to call the cable co and have HBO reinstalled . . . they used to have previous episodes "On Demand", so hopefully I can catch up!

This season so far is the best of the three. Throwing werewolves into the mix is a hard thing to beat. BTW - that flashback with Eric and Godric in Germany was AWESOME!

I think we are going to see many more flashbacks while they explain the current story line. Clearly this has a history that goes way back and is finally coming to a head.

I caught on to it last month. I watches all of season 1 on DVD and I am currently going through Season 2. I'm not watching the current episodes yet but I have then recording on DVR.

I have seen all the seasons so far but at times its pretty silly but still worth watching. When Sookie went to Fairyland it kind of jumped the shark for me.

They are following the books pretty faithfully. That is why I am still watching.

Well that makes sense. I didn't even know they had books first. Still very entertaining. I did really like the Anne Rice Vampire books. Maybe I will give the TB books a read too.

I love the show. I was a late comer so I had to rent/watch all of the earlier seasons to catch up. They have really gotten better with their story line and writing since Season 3 and forward. I watch Vampire Diaries for a fix until True Blood comes back. Even though this is Vampire Diaries 3rd season, it doesn't compare to TB. The show that follow them, Secret Circle, has gotten really good and Vampire Diaries better watch out or they will be getting bumped for the newcomer.

Season opener last night. Should be interesting to see how Terra moves on.
