I am honestly upset that the current season is over. It was better then ever and I agree that the show is brilliant. There is not reall another show with better writing and story lines.

I love Fringe and Heroes also, but they do not compare to this show overall. Being on HBO helps and gives them a wider range of grpahic content.

I already miss this show and it just ended for this season yesterday, lol.

I've heard a lot about the show, but havent seen it. I'll try to catch a few shows on HBO On demand.

I absolutely love the show! I never miss. I was a little disappointe din the season finale though, although I only saw the second 1/2 hr of it. I was so disappointed that I haven't even gone back to catch the first 1/2. Having said that, it's a great show top to bottom! Hell, even The Shield had a lame finale and that was my favorite show hands down!

Tuna, I like the finale. What did you not like about it?

Well, maybe I need to watch the first 1/2 hour. I tuned in late, but it just seemed to wrap up too neat and tidy. The towns people all have amnesia and Maryann is gone? I must have missed a bunch in that 1/2 hour because NOTHING happened in the 2nd 1/2, save for Bill getting kidnapped. I asked my fiancee if I missed anything in the first half and she said that she was less than enthralled; and she's a much bigger fan than I am! Maybe we were expecting too much. I still love the series and am looking forward to next season. I'm hoping they get Lafayette more involved, since he is my favorite character.

Well. on to Dexter! There will be NO disappointment there.

Well you might have been expecting to much, but then again what did we all expect. They had to get rid of Maryann somehow after the entire season of chaos she created. And for a "god" she did go pretty easily. Overall I was tired of her and the entire story line. It seemed be getting a little "old".
What is interesting to me is the entire new story line they have introduced with the Queen and Eric clearly working together on something bad. That will be fun to see what happens next season with that.
Lafayette is so over the top that I think they try to feature him in doses. I agree that he is a great actor and love the roll.

That's what I meant by Maryann being "gone",. From what I saw, it just seemed too easy. Like they wanted to wrap up the season nice and tidy and move on. I thought there would be some hell to pay trying to get rid of Maryann with her being a god and all.

You're right about Lafayette being over the top! I just like the dichotomy of his character living the "lifestyle" that he does, but doesn't let you forget that he IS a thug when he has to be! Of course he's terrified of Eric, but considering what he went through with that, it's understandable. I fully expect next season to be another great one. All I ask is to give some punch with the finale next year! Don't "Soprano" us again!

I don't get the cowering and crying of fear when Eric shows up (or the female vamp). I understand they tortured him, but to the point of him being a weeping invalid each time is strange. I hope they allow him to fight back at least once next season. And the Queen dealing vamp blood V, is a strange story line also.

I agree TVD. I think that's a prelude to next season's events. He hasn't shown that type of cowardice towards anyone! It seems to be excessive...I hope it ties into next season's storyline somehow.

I have to admit that I MISS it not being on tonight...

HI everyone,
I love True Blood so much that I went and bought the Charlaine Harris books to read. I also went out and bought a pair of scarecrow fangs. I watched with my hubby every Sunday since season one and this season finale we had a TB finale party. Was going to order the True blood drink from HBO but 30 bucks for 4 bottles? I heard that Sookie is a fairy and that is why everyone asks her what are you?. I love Jason's remark' If Sam can turn into a chicken and lay an egg and eat it would that be cannibalism? I miss the show already. It is going to be a long time till next summer. I wish HBO would air them more frequently. Meow, kitten ;)

I'm guessing they didn't sell much of that True Blood beverage. Those are crack prices!
Jason is a blithering idiot, but fun to watch. You never know what's gonna come out of his pie hole! I gotta go with Lafayette as my favorite character on the show.

Yeah, I think there is more to Lafayette being afraid of Eric. I say we will learn more next season. How did Bill know Sookies' cousins' name Hadley at the Vampire Queen's place. And how did Hadley know Sookie was seeing Bill? Another thing is people that read the books that are watching the show will put down the show if it does not go exactly like the books. But Alan Ball took the characters and ran with them. He is doing a good job with the show. And what happened to the hotel employee in Dallas that could read minds like Sookie? The true blood drink is only orange soda. Meow, kitten;)
