Very cool Lawyer Aidroos !:cool:

It's like the old saying goes, live, and learn right?! :D

Honestly is so nice hearing that you were able to use this tool,
as well as have a little fun with it like this. ;) ..Thanks a ton
for both the look, as well as report sir !!!

Beautiful.

I don't attempt anything, apart from regulation. I've taken Forza's advice.
I've disassembled, cleaned, repaired, and reassembled this, which is just one among many timepieces... ;)

I took a ton of pictures of every part and screw as I was disassembling it just to be sure I could get it back together correctly...

Dismantling car parts vs watch parts is the difference between micro surgery and general surgery. I have the hands for a general surgeon. I can never manage the prior from past experiences. Removing and fastening a crown stem, new rotors, hands, crystals, straps, lug spring pins, dials and case related tasks, this is my limitation. Regulation is the only time I pop a case back, apart from seals.
You are in the the precision league, I'm in the brute force.

Well thank you Sir Lawyer Aidroos. (y) ..You are too kind.

Although not even close to being as nice, or as cool as the tools you,
and Steve have above. Here is my simple box of tools I have used
to change a few of the straps on some of my vintage watches you
mentioned above sir. 🙂

I've honestly only used a few of the tools. 😊

Sir AtomicTom,
Excellent setup. And spectacular watches, unique and elegant, just like you.

Here's what I've been up to God willing it needs to be fixed. In the next post.

I am an aircraft mechanic by trade and also worked as an auto mechanic so I don't have the hands of any type of surgeon, but, I do have a steady hand now which came from lots and lots of practice... ;)

How many hours do you think you spent? What was the result of the work, function/accuracy?
Minutes spent on regulation. Anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes after the case base is opened. I aim for - 0 second per day in one desired position and beat error at 0.1 mili second. I give up in the speed range of overall - 5 spd to +5 seconds per day, and beat error range of 0.1 to 0.4 ms. God willing since I'm awaiting MB techs for a home visit to fix a leaking o ring. I'll give the Ingersoll a try, it's horrible at +30 to +40 spd. And I need to shorten the bracelet length of my wife's new watch.

😊Thanks a bunch LA, you are all those things, and more if I'm being
totally truthful sir. ;):) AND you evidently are extremely handy with
cars too. That looks like a tough assignment in fixing up the car, and
how about Steve with the airplanes ?!!:cool: Boy oh boy, impressive
stuff, and here I am, I can barely change a strap. 😄

Yeah, this is what I'm used to working on, top to bottom and everything in between, and others like it both big and small... ;)

As they say at NASA failure is not an option, everything must be right every time! ;)
