Not sure if you guys have had time to see Timex's M79 Automatic.

The new watch comes just about a year after the introduction of the
Q Timex 1979 Reissue. With the "M" signifying a mechanical caliber
now. Just as the "Q' had signaled that a quartz was used within the
Q Timex earlier.

Just a few of the specifications look to include a 40mm stainless
steel case, 50m WR, mineral crystals, black, and blue uni-directional
bezel, black dial with luminous markers, and hands, Miyota 8215,
and nice bracelet.

Just a few pictures...

Timezone with this, and more...

Ironically, I have read quite a bit about these over the last few days but oddly no word on price anywhere. Perhaps yet to be released?

Timex

I am older and I remember Timex when I was a young kid. This new
one has caught my attention. I wonder if it is made in China or Japan.

I'm guessing they'll be asking around $300. I hate to keep putting these watches down. But these companies need to start trying harder if they want my money. Yet another weak, uninspired attempt at a Sub clone with a non-hacking, unadjusted bottom of the line Miyota movement and a mineral crystal. No imagination here whatsoever. Couldn't think of a different type of hour marker, hand set or bezel.
At least the bracelet kicks some a$$. Very disappointing... :eek:hwell:

Yup, didn't see the price either Steve, but could be around what Forza
said in the $300 maybe. I know the automatic Marlin is around $249,
so could be anywhere from that, and above I guess sir. :thumb: Will be
interesting to see that's for sure.

Eddie, so glad you are liking this one. :) It's neat to see Timex adding
in more automatics right?! Then the styles are timeless, but still very
eye-catching. I wonder what they have up their sleeves coming up !

Forza, can see what you are saying about the lack of imagination,
but I guess they are just going for the classic side here. :coo2l: They
have quite a few collections, with some being traditional, some being
rugged, and some being outside the box, and even fun, and light
hearted. ..However, still get what you mean sir.

Appreciate you guys chiming in on these. Thanks so so much !!!

I’d replace that band. Other than that it’s pretty awesome.

It's kind of a love it, or leave it kind of bracelet right Jeff?! ..You know,
am noticing if you squint your eyes it kind of looks like a mesh bracelet. :)

Very glad you enjoyed sir !

You are making a phenomenal point Chaz. :smileyface_hand_cla

Could see the price being what it is with a different movement
maybe, but the 8215 should make it even more affordable right?!

Thanks a ton for your thoughts on these here sir ! :thumb:
