getting 3 broken watches initially, of any type or model, would be a massive letdown to say the least.

Got a Tag Formula 1, which I was pretty damn excited about. Got it out of the box and was immediately struck by what a cheap (meaning low quality) presentation it had. Band felt flimsy. Dial looked like plastic. At 41 mm, just too small. I've paid way less for my invictas and they really seemed to be of better quality.

The Prowler. I HAD to have this watch after seeing it online and a couple of quick glances in the display at a local AD. I was able to trade for one and when I wore very small, diameter-wise, and the bracelet was too narrow for my liking. It sat in the watchbox for 4 months until I traded it away. It's a cool design; I just wish they would kick it up to 48-50mm with a 26-28mm bracelet. I would be all over it.

I agree that watch in a large case with a wider bracelet would be very cool to have!

You and I have discussed this at the other forum Rip. Since Invicta seems to be on this re-tooling kick, I would think that they would dig in the crates, so to speak, and bring back some oldies but goodies, reincarnated.

. . . The Timex TX series. Saw the web site, checked around and found a deal. Looked to be the real deal for me. I ordered a 730 Flback on black leather, and was stoked waiting for it. The packaging was triple cool, and I was instantly NOT interested in the watch . . . . at all. Traded it off without it ever hitting the wrist.

FUNNY YOU SHOULD MENTION THAT RANDY - that same watch is the entire reason I started this thread - http://www.watchfreeks.com/view_post.php?post_id=19516

.. . . Size was OK with me. Strap was garbage IMO. And the watch just looked and felt non-substantial, no feel to it at all. And the dial, though it looks good in a photo . . . . actually looked contrived, sort of "forced" . . . It was pretty odd to tell you the truth.I really was excited about it . . .

that is EXACTLY how I felt about it before getting it - excited. But when it arrived it actually wore SMALLER then its size to me. I was OK with the strap, but could not get around how small the watch felt and wore on my wrist.

. . .For sure it did look like a small 42. I don't mind a 42, so I was good there . . .

Sad to say but my Glycine was that way. I do still like it ...ish, but it was kind of a letdown. Now the Fortis can't hardly find its way off my wrist :)

Dinner:
3 years ago I plunked down coin of the realm for a Luminox Classic 3000
iteration.
When the watch arrived it looked the size of a quarter on my 8 inch wrist.
Couldn't send it back to the seller fast enuff.
But the Luminox never approached the state of being underwhelmed the
Russkie Amphibia. Almost as bad as the Ingersol $ pocket watch I bought
back n tha day. The watch that made the $ famous? Duh?
On a good day it only lost a hour.
Amphibia made some really strange noises as counterweight spun on the
rotor. Svetlana must have imbibed tater juice before work in Cristopal Russ.

I'll play. I like Timex and most of you already know that.
Over the years I've collected a few cool pieces that are no longer in production.
Here is one I mulled over for a few days and then returned it back to Amazon.

It's rather big and too blingy for my taste and I knew that it will not get any significant wrist time.
It's just one of those things when you know it's not going to fly.
Cool piece but not for me.
