This strap caters to an 18mm lug width, very vintage. What could it be?

Alright, this is fun Frans, I love it ! (y)😀

I’m not sure exactly what it is, or the brand, and I could be totally
off with this sir. 😊 However, I know you mentioned 50 Fathoms
Milspec One, as well as a Sub Milspec One homages a couple of
days ago. Maybe it’s one, or both of them. 😲

That’s not it :) Dig deeper……

Both, 18mm and dress watch big brand vintage styling but rugged as well.....

No, not Omega or an Omega homage!

I’m not up to speed on all the homages out there (I’m making the assumption it is one), but if it is, now I’m flip-flopping and saying the 18mm is significant. Nearly all homages out of China modernize lug width.

I think of Omega too, however Frans mentioned Rolex, Breitling and Zenith in another thread. Look I’m in charge of dinner tonight, I have a life you know. 🙂

😄🙂 I’m thinking that you along with Trip are on to something with the
whole actual vintage watch idea Eric. 😎 I immediately was thinking of
modern day super affordable watches, and companies like he had been
talking about recently. However, that 18mm, and alligator thing might be
a better clue like you were saying. (y)

One thing is for sure, it’s a lot of fun trying to figure things out. ..Oh, and
Eric, I hope everything turned out great with dinner. 😉

Holy cow, I didn’t see that coming ! o_Oo_O :D

This is just amazing Frans, and you really had me fooled in thinking
about it being something from a Sugess-like company. I was really
digging deeper, but in the totally wrong area. 😄🤣 But I actually do
not think I would have guessed it no matter what. 😊

This is what’s known as a pleasant surprise I guess sir. Thank you !!!

And if FedEx comes through, it could be here on Monday.

FedEx tried to deliver it yesterday but I was in Amsterdam for 3 days. So Monday is for sure now as I rescheduled it (no Weekend delivery for these kind of packages).

It arrived this morning. A nice little, every day watch. Again, it came with two straps: a leather and nylon NATO strap. I put the leather strap I bought earlier on as soon as I removed it from its case. The case is a sturdy travel case, the strap removal tool is from the bottom of the barrel but I don't blame them. Completely sterile case back and the seconds hand is quite thin. Screw down crown and 200m water resistance.

Oh boy, would you check that out Frans, it looks ridiculously nice ! 🏆😎

I mean a watch that does one thing well is nice enough. But when
a watch does everything right, that’s THE best honestly. And the only
thing tough is knowing where to look first. Or what might be the very
best part of the watch. ..And to me it’s a toss up as the watch gives
you a tour de force of class everywhere you look. o_O The case brings
in all of the coolest angles, lines, as well as curves you could really
ever need. While the dial, through the neat crystal puts the biggest
smile on the face you could ever want. 😀

On top of that, the crown, as well as sterile back allow you to enjoy
the design even more imho. It’s simple, subtle, and stunning ! With
your strap pulling it all together Frans. Plus the ones that came with
the watch allow for change-ups down the road too. ..A BIG Beautiful
Baltany congrats 2 U here on this !!!
