Have you ever done something so Stupid you feel like the majority of the people you meet every day? well that was me today, I left the house to go to work and forgot my damn cell phone. So of coarse i head back home grab the damn phone and head back too work, where some anal retentive IDIOT decides to run out of gas in the middle lane of the freeway. So mow 30 minutes later i get past that and one of my guys is welding up a Custom pumping table I designed. Well he needs a little help so I grab the welding lead and start tacking the parts together as he hold the parts.

here is where I have become a brain dread Idiot, I forgot to take my S1 touring off when i was welding and now I have weld splatter. on the case, the crystal as well as the bracelet! WTF i should have stayed home today!

Crap Rip sorry about you S-1 and those aren't cheap either, i was painting the crossmember of a 4x4 a month ago and we were lifting it and i had to notch it for the front driveshaft and had my left hand held out and still got black speckles all over my OffShore RD Blue face, been using that Cape Cod on the steel but the gold and the dial just soap and water and its not working.

That sucks Rip, sorry to hear about your day.
Easy for me to say but really, at least it was just a watch and not something else.

do you have a pic of it now, BEFORE the guy tries to fix it.

That does suck Ron. I think we have all been there before. I haven't destroyed a watch to that degree, but I have done some other pretty stupid stuff. Some of you may know that I'm a Police Detective. Well one day I was in a hurry to get out the door and completely forgot my gun. I was driving into the city when a robbery went down. I heard the call dispatched over the radio and then I realized the Suspect vehicle was getting onto the freeway right in front of me.

Well I start following the vehicle and call out on it over the radio. As I'm waiting for other units to arrive so that we can pull it over I reach down to check for my Glock and realize my holster is there but my Glock was not. I accidentally left it in my safe at home. This was a bad feeling. I called one of my buddies on my cell and apprised him of the situation so he takes the lead car as I fall in behind him. Luckily he has a shotgun in his car that I'm able to use. We end up getting the vehicle stopped and everybody went home alive, but to this day I always carry a second gun in my car. Now I know that's not watch related, but that was probably the most embarrasing and stupid thing I have done to this day.

In a way this relates, Mike Davis stated on the air that he often carries an extra watch in one of his jacket pockets. :b

You hit the nail on the head there Brother, it wasnt the watch that can be fixed, it is the Stupidity that was illustrated by a man that hates Stupid people!!! Oh well it is what it is!!!:lol
