Did you guys have time to see the TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years
Silver Limited Edition already?

The new watch pays tribute to the original 1963 silver Carrera.
Having details like a 39mm stainless steel case, 100m WR, a
domed sapphire crystal, a fixed bezel, silver sunray-brushed dial
with rhodium-plated, and faceted hour and minute hands, and
markers, with beige SLN, and black lacquered central hand too.

In addition, you have the 33 jewel in house Calibre Heuer 02
automatic chronograph movement, and black alligator strap.

Have a few pictures...

Would like to know how thick the case is. Most of their watches using the Heuer 02 are just too thick.

Looked on their site too Maven, and still no mention of the thickness. :(
Maybe later on down the road they will release the full specs for you,
or us. :thumb:

Even the Monaco, not known for slipping under a cuff, increased in thickness when they put the 02 in it. I fail to understand how a modular chrono watch is almost always thinner than integrated. The only exception being the Daytona.

Somewhere it is mentioned the case is identical to that of the TAG Heuer Fragment (and that also has the same movement). This watch has a height of 16.2 mm so we can assume the new Carrera has the same height.

I also like the Heuer logo very much. The whole 'Techniques d’Avant Garde' addition can be left out as far as I'm concerned :D

I'm glad they stuck with the old Heuer-only logo

It is interesting Maven, and it looks like Frans did some fantastic detective
work for all of us. :smile-thumb:

Seems like the question may have been answered Maven. :) Thanks so
much for the insight Frans !

By the way, that logo really is special, you're right Eric, and Frans !!

So nice to see it back.

Already had a Tag Link Automatic Chrono, and it wore like a Hockey Puck on a bracelet, it's long gone!

The silver dial and silver hands sure are pretty, right up until you want to look at the watch to tell the time!
