Did everyone have time to see TAG Heuer's Autavia 60th Anniversary
Collection?

It's made up of two Flyback Chronographs, and one GMT.

The Autavia Flyback Chronographs have either a stainless steel finish,
or DLC coated stainless steel finish. Along with 100m WR, sapphire
crystals, bidirectional bezels with ceramic inserts, sunray silver, or black
dials, the in-house Calibre Heuer 02 COSC Flyback automatic, plus
alligator strap.

Then the GMT has a 42mm stainless steel case, and sapphire crystal,
a bidirectional rotating bezel with two-tone ceramic insert, sunray blue
dial, stainless steel bracelet, and Calibre 7 COSC GMT automatic also.

Monochrome Watches, and TAG Heuer with much more for you..

Love it... they just need to get rid of the TAG on the logo... It was originally a HEUER watch, and I can't stand the TAG on it (no longer owned by TAG anyway).

That one IS beautiful. o_O (y) Yes, I could definitely picture
you rocking that one Tom ! TAG Heuer is starting off the
year with a real bang by the look of things. All of these new
watches from them this year look terrific !

And Hector, thanks so much for that insight into TAG not
actually owning Heuer any longer. ;) To tell the truth I
did not even know that, or hear the news. But yeah, I’m
thinking so many people agree with you on that, it’s not
even funny. I wonder if we will see your dream come true
in the not too distant future. :) (y)

Have to thank you guys for giving your opinions on this
one, or all of these rather !!!

As per most TH... Tooooo thick. The trend isn't in transition, it's moved.

$7,000 is hard to believe RT. o_O The main reason behind
it has to be the whole anniversary thing I guess. But I think
you, and I might expect all three of these watches for that
price right?! 😄

Heck, even less than that on sale, or in clearance mode. 😊

Watchmavan, these do have a chunky way about them it
would seem. 😉 I actually didn’t even notice that fact, but
am seeing it now. And I guess they are just trying to stay
true to the old Autavia watches. 🙂

It’s beyond cool hearing what you both had to say here
above, so thanks very very much !!!

Staying true to Autavia, yes and no. True to the modern release yes. I participated eagerly in the public voting system prior to release and bought straight away. I moved on because of the thickness. The original Autavias from the 60's were not thick though.

Hey that is really terrific that you were actually involved with the voting
with these like that WM. 😮:D Just the fact that TAG Heuer allowed
fans to get involved is phenomenal I think. However, it's too bad that
they evidently didn't listen to you about the thickness.

Like you are saying, the originals evidently weren't so thick, so you
would think that they would want to be as accurate as possible right?!(y)(y)
Oh well, who knows, maybe the next time around they will make them
a little slimmer. 😉

Have to thank you for not only the excellent insight, but for giving
your opinions WM !!!

Biver had a lot to do with it. I saw him interviewed when the winner was announced. He made a condition that the watch had to be 42mm. Nothing was said about the thickness but I guess he something to do with that as well. He had his hand in everything. When he came on board to head up TH he immediately ceased development of the CH80 (Heuer 02). Then finally released it with the Autavia. I pretty sure all watches with the Heuer 02 are also quite thick.

Very interesting interesting Mavan. :);) It sounds like they
put a lot of thought into the watch. And it was at least fun for
everyone to feel like they would have a hand in how the new
watches might take shape. On top of that, maybe it is a
precursor of what they might do in the future with not only
the Autavia, but other models too.

Maybe you can help with one of those. or they will take your
advice I mean. (y)
