George and I had a great chat on the phone yesterday and I brought up the fact that I feel that there seems to be a problem with this line of watches. Now while it can't possibly be every single one I feel many of them are effected.

I owned two of them and they both had problems with the GMT hand and had to go to repair for the normal 3+ months. One of my watches I found to have a problem right after the Shop return period was up so it was a brand new watch. The other was less then a year old.

During our conversation I found that George (Watchurself) had thought he damaged the one he had. Lol, now I think he knows otherwise.

So this poll basically is for those who own or have owned The SAN III Auto GMT. Please tell us of your experiences if you had any.

mine ran very accurately with exception of the GMT Hand which after having set it -ran anywhere from 12-16 hours fast

after having submitted the problem on a couple of forums -i came to the conclusion (erroneously) that i had damged the GMT hand when setting it by spinning the hand too quickly

well i ended up selling the piece awhile back on E-Bay -fully disclosing the issue and the need for repair

obviously i took a loss on the sale but i just wanted to get out of it

after having had a very nice convo with Darius this past w/e i found out he has a couple of these and that this particular watch/complication may have issues

so i am kinda relieved (after the fact) that i may not have been the reason for the damge/deffect in the piece

as always it was very nice speaking with you again Darius -as always a true Gentlemen!!

This one was one of my exact models I owned which had no control of the GMT hand. It went to repair for over 3 months to Invicta and it came back unrepaired and worse then I sent it.

I hear this comment so often about Invicta , I don't see HOW they manage to NOT repair something, and then often scratch or otherwise damage more, and then return. I wonder if they are sending them to a cheap China repair facility, and just hope for the best?????? Anyone know????

Of course I see this thread the day after I receive mine that I just purchased lol. I grabbed one for a pretty good price because as I stated in my introduction post I've moved into adding different movements to my collection and have been wanting to add the 2893.

I then got a discount code for the SAN IV combat edition with the 2893 movement on WoW and grabbed that too. I'm going to see how much I like the IV since it will be my first and may just keep that and sell or trade the III I just got. Plus I already have 2 other SAN III's, a 2.4 and a 7750 but we'll see when the IV gets here.

The SAN III Auto GMT is functioning perfectly though and I have family back in the Buffalo area so I have it set 3 hours ahead on the GMT hand and it's working fine. I have the all SS version pictured as well.
