Hi Experts

The second hand on my Victorinox 241287 Men's Infantry Vintage Chronograph has stuck. I have been able to get it moving again, by some combination of manipulating the buttons.

I have read elsewhere that a battery change is needed, though if the watch keeps good time I am not sure why this would need doing.

It hasnt bothered me before, but I am trying to sell on eBay and I am worried that a stalled second hand could be symptomatic of something more serious.

Thanks

A battery change is a cheap place to start so it can't hurt. The description hints at maybe a larger problem though, but I am no quartz movement expert. If it is a larger problem, you may face a repair bill higher than the watch's resale value.
