I am wearing one of my 44mm that has not gotten a lot of wrist time lately. I noticed that the bracelet is very loose yet I am happy with the fit. Thinking about this I came to the conclusion that I have some watches that I wear tight and some loose. I was looking for a pattern as to why. The only thing that I came up with was the weight of the watch. It seems the heavier the watch the tighter I wear it. It really is not about size.

How about you? Have any of you noticed that some watches you wear tight and other loose?

Hi Marc, Ilike wearing my watches slightlyloose and low to the hand. On the recomendation of the jeweler who sizes mywatches he suggested that I wear my one Subaquqa Noma tighter. He related it would be uncomfortable to have a heavy watch "slapping" the wrist while wearing it. ....Bob

Like mine on the loose side but not too loose! hate them when they are tight! Perfect for me is when i can twist the case all the way around my wrist!! Did that make any sense!!

. . .Curvature of the case and shape of the lugs plays into it for me. Same as you, some I wear loose, some I wear snug.

I don't have any behemoths, so weight isn't a factor so much.. . . . Grand Diver is the KingKong of my collection . .. .

I like a watch that is not tight, or loose. It has a little give each way if I was to shake my arm, but obviously will not fall all the way around my wrist. I greatly dislike a watch that is very tight, with ONE exception. My Reserve Excursion is just so heavy and large that the crown will dig into the top of my hand if it had any give, so that one is a little tighter then the rest of them.

Hi trevor, that makes sense. I like wearing my watches like you do. The only difference,I do not think I can rotate a watch all the way around the wrist. A big wristbone I think, LOL. ....Bob

I gain and lose alot of weight, in the winter my wrists shrink so much i have to re adjust the micro a click, but i like them loose but not enough to wrap around my wrist my God some of those huge Invictas would run you off the road if they did that. LOL !!!!!

I like 'em loose, but not shifty (er, wait . . . sounds like someone I just dated). :)

I've had a hell of a time the past 5 months as I've lost 75 pounds! It seems like I was taking out another link every other month. I'd pick up a watch, put it on the wrist, and I could twist the watch the entire way around my wrist! :(

Now that I'm stabilizing, I can work with the micro adjustments (if they have one). Bracelets with a hidden clasp and half links are still a biotch! :madd

Now that you say that it makes sense. I don't want a heavy watch flopping on my wrist.

Like my watches to have a little movement on the wrist. Not like plopping around the wrist like it has a link too much but just enough.

It can depend a lot on the weight. Heavier does get worn a little tighter. I would always prefer a little loose but not so much that it flops around.

I do start out wearing them looser than I like in the summer time because as the day goes on I swell :( and if it starts out tight then by the end of the day its miserably tight.

Loose for everything except the recentlypurchased AP. It has a large square shape and an over sized crown that when wearing loose rests where my hand meets my wrist. Used the micro adjustments and now it is tighter than anything else I wear but it stays off my hand.:b
