Strap Description: (Taken from Website)

Made from vintage ammo pouches this is the ultimate in historic style. Each pouch is unique and results in a one-of-a-kind strap that can't be duplicated. My Mauser straps utilize only leather from the pouch you've chosen, handled and prepared with an eye for detail that onlyexperiencecan bring. I'm the first person to offer you the ability to choose the actual pouch your strap will be made from.

Each Mauser strap is unique andcannotbe duplicated.

No real packaging. Micah delivers the strap to you in a padded envelope with a paper seal around the strap, and as always includes a note and a business card. This also included a leather balm to rub into the strap.

Thoughts and Impressions:
What can I say. Micah's straps are some of the best I have ever encountered. That isn't to say there are not other good strap makers out there, there are. But Micah in my opinion is one of the tops of the list. This strap is very aged leather because of coming from the ammo pouch, but has lots of character and is soft and supple and feels great on the wrist. Stitching is perfect, signed on the back with his logos, the two keepers all pull it together. It also came with Dr. J's Leather balm , which you can choose to rub in or not. I chose to do so. You rub it in with a cloth, then let dry for half hour and buff. It makes the strap a little darker, but also pulls out the grain a little more, giving it a more rustic leather look and feel. This is another great example of the type of straps Micah does. Its 4.2 mm so its thick, but not overly thick , so it isn't too bulky on the wrist. I expect this strap to just get better and better with age and wear. While the price might sound expensive, keep in mind Micah's guarantee: If your strap ever gets ruined or fails for any reason I will replace it expediently and free of charge. This guarantee includes: Use, misuse, abuse, exposure, the need to burn your strap for warmth, your dog eating it in a fit of rage... whatever. If it's ruined I will replace it, no questions asked (unless the story sounds interesting). Pretty much that means whatever happens , he will make you a replacement. You can't ask for better than that. Again, an amazing ammo strap, and another great example of fine leather craftsmanship.

Thank you for reading , I look forward to your comments.

Where did the "+" go?

Last time I try to communicate like a teenager

Great review and photos Don! I too was a bit stunned by the guarantee. It is a bold call, but one that is likely to endear him to many people

I have dealt with several strapmakers now and Micah not only provides a great product and guarantee, but his service and delivery times are top class. Like you say, there are lots of great people out there, but if you had to recommend only ONE guy in USA, his name will be at the top of the list for many people
