Hi,

I have recently been looking at the ocean 1 ceramic and was set on getting that until I see the Ocean 44, I just wanted to get peoples opinion on the two I thought this would be the best place lol. Is the 44 a lot bigger on the wrist etc? .

Cannot speak on the 44. But I love my Ocean One. Fits real nice on the wrist. Great watch. Has been running real nice after the warranty repair. I've had my watch for abou a year now.

Caveat: I don't own a Stienhart.

You're talking about 42mm vs 44mm, so size wise I don't think you'll be unable wear either one. I'd go with what pleases your eye more. Just my two cents.

If you're looking for a more classic diver style, I'd go with the smaller size. If you have a really large wrist, I'd go with the larger, but obviously it's whatever you like or used to wearing. I have the Ocean 1 and it's a perfect size to me. BTW, the build quality and finish on these are really great. I've had mine for over 5 years that I bought used and it still looks and performs like it's brand new. I don't think you'll go wrong with either.

You may want to look at the premium version of the ocean one. A little bit more but I tell you the Soprod movement is nice.

I did see that, it's a shame they don't have it in black although the blue is nice I just prefer black

SQUALE rollie homage might be less chunky for a small wrist-

try GNOMON.com for SQUALE or LONG ISLAND WATCH...italian design a little sleeker...SQUALE has a long history as a case maker and free dive watch maker.

and/or BOREALIS ESTORIL

OMEGA SD homage... very nice for a smaller wrist ...very killer prices

I have seen squale pop up when I have been looking at reviews, are they better made watches than steinhart? Also I looked at the BOREALIS ESTORIL they are really nice too

good question BH-

SHARKIE vs STEINNY which is better ?

well my RECO of SQUALE is because their rollie homage is more "tapered" for sub 7" wrist ( SQUALE is famous for WALTER VON BUREN case maker to major trademarks and TRUE ASSOCIATION WITH FREE DIVERS )

STEINHART is a value driven boutique in GERMANY and their watches tend to be a little beefier...though they have a fine rep-

BOREALIS ESTORIL @ $300- is killer for sub 7' wrist...half the price of the above 2 boutique tool divers-

good hunting bro-

or SEIKO MONSTER sub 2 C notes @ 42mm. no problem for sub 7" wrist...iconic MONSTER broke the size barrier when classic size was 38mm-

Another option is the Tisell Marine Dive, with the exception of the Miyota 9015 movement vs the Soprod A10, it is as well a put together watch as my Steinhart Ocean 1 Premium, at about 1/4 the price.

I all ready have my money down on the Borealis Estoril

its says pre order sale? but I cant see how theres a difference in price? also I have seen on the omega it has the mesh strap is this something you could do to this watch?

If you are A fan of mesh, go ahead and buy one for it, sure it will look fine if you like mesh bracelets.

As far as the preorder, when you click on it you can buy it with a deposit of half price, the rest due when they are ready which I think is June.

The Borealis has 20mm lugs, there is a multitude of different brands of mesh that will fit it.
