I agree with you. I have a few and they are not my favorite. They seem to open at the most inopportune time.

I actually like DD and would prefer them, I will say that on a heavier watch you can not wear them tight, which I dont wear any watch tight. I have never had any issue's that people seem to have with these, on any watch including the Akula, The Venom, the bolt. I love them and wish more of the watches actually had them! The best DD out there IMO is the Renato accept for that $%*@^* diamond R on it!

I tend to have more sizing issues is my biggest problem with them unless you get half links which generally helps. Other than that I have had no other problems but I have heard about people saying they come open at times.

Generally, I don't care for them. I much prefer the diver's type clasp.

I have a few on my RD Offshore and no problems but my SS Venom popped all the time and my Rose/Black Bolt popped until i took the dremmel to it.

I wear dual deployment clasp watches a little loose and no problems. If the band is too tight it does pop open on me.

I think they are a pain in the a**! I have a beautiful Jacques Lemans Diver that I love but the thing pops open all the time. I wore the watch today and it opened a couple of times. A company should NEVER put a DD clasp on a diver's watch EVER!! They should always be a diver's flip lock clasp!!

I agree, I am not a fan of DD and prefer good-ole clasps.

I think the dual deployant clasps look and feel better on watches with leather straps. I have a couple and I love them on my leather straps.

Though I'm NOT a fan of leather straps, I do prefer DD clasps on my leather straps! What I can't stand is having a DD clasp on a dive watch!! I will NEVER buy another diver with a DD clasp EVER!

I dig DD's on bracelets but not straps. :b

I don't think big wrists is the issue. Mine are 8.5" and I love dual deployants.

I agree it isnt the wrist size it is how you wear them. if you wear it too tight then it will pop, if you wear it too loose it will pop! However some might have the odd size wrist that they cant get a good fit on a dual deployant, which could very well cause them issue's!

I agree with Mike Dual Deployant clasps work well on leather and rubber straps, but not on SS.

I agree with Rip. I kind of favor them, but the quality of the clasp DOES matter. Renato, like Rip mentioned, makes an excellent DD. The original clasp on the first run Commanders, not so much. That goes for the Sea Vulture too. I loved the watch but couldn't keep it because the DD was so poor.

Funny, i was just having this convo with Tuna on the phone, as we were looking at new Invictas coming out, and me commenting about some designs that i like but they had dual deployants on them.......i have no issues with a dual deployant, as long as it has half links......i have a wierd wrist to begin with i guess, every watch i get with either DD or a divers clasp, i always have to adjust it........if it has half links, i have to take at least one out, and divers buckle i always have to move the micro adjustments, even after getting links out............ive gone through so many watches with DD, that had no half links, and they never worked........2 out , to loose, 3 out, to tight, and no inbetween..........and even with half links, they just dont work all the time, ....to me, they are no wheres near as secure and would rather have the divers clasp anytime.......
