I dont do Christmas like most do, we generally buy something big for the house, New TV, Home Theatre, New dining room table you get the idea. Well This year there really wasnt anything that we truly needed or wanted new for the house, so we have not discussed buying anything.

I went to the mall today:maddI freakin hate the mall, especially this time of the year. I wade through all of the Idiots, monster "What I call kids" and the traditional congragation of punk kids, with there boxers hangin out or the twits with the piercings in their faces. Man I was stressed, I just wanted to go postal and start slapping all the stupid people, but I realized I couldnt slap them all, that would be equivelant to fighting a 25 round boxing match.

Wow I got off track:%Anyways I went to Nordstrom and got the wife a $1000.00 Gift card. Not much of a gift, I dont do the whole clothes shopping thing, so she can go buy some stuff and enjoy herself with a girl friend or two and make a afternoon out of it.

What did you all do?

We discussed money being tight with the new baby. We agreed to not spend much on each other and mainly buy for the kids.

That being said I got her a watch (limited yachting edition that CJ cleaned up and polished for me) and a pair of diamond earnings. Needless to say she does not know about these things and will kill me when she finds out.

LOL guys. For Linda and I it's Christmas all year round. Although we plan to really start cutting back this year, it will be the first in a long time. Fact is, we always get presents for each other so Christmas is no big deal for that anyway. We go out and buy all of the grandkids presents. That's where we get our gratification.

Another fact: The best Christmas present we could have ever gotten was given to us by Ron and Gina. THAT said it all for us. Couldn'a asked for anything more! No lie!!! Ok, not gonna get all mushy again. It is what it is though and always will be!!!

. . . we have the whole family headed in this year. Mother in law and sister in law have been here since before Thanksgiving, oldest son and wife with grandson here tomorrow, daughter will be here Tuesday. ( she is taking a client to the Steelers/Packers game tomorrow, flew into Pit today in the snow!!!!)

. . . having allthe kids here, Wifeys girls here, the grandson . . . . what more could I want?

Since I am the most spoiled man on the planet, I buy what I want whenI want for the most part . . . . and Wifey has never been interested in material things, we agreed to leave ourselves out of the gifts at holiday time. The best thing I could give her is family, food and love for the season . . . . oh, and decorate the living daylights out of the house . . . inside and out!!!!!

I got my wife a MacBook Pro- she's an RN who recently decided to pursue her BSN. Since I'm always on my laptop, she needed her own. I gave it to her the other day because she had a paper to write- she couln't have been happier!

I bought myself a motorcycle earlier this year, so I got mygirlfriend a helmet and riding jacket to match mine.

I'm still working on it. My wife is very hard to buy for (She would kill me if she saw this). No jewelery, one favorite perfume (only so much of that you can buy), one watch her whole life (at least it is a Bulova). I got her a few small gifts but I'm still looking for something that says I put some thought into it, maybe a toaster.:%

We were out shopping after Thanksgiving and Gail was in line at the Coach outlet with two bags (a purse and a laptop case). She suddenly saw a salesgirl swinging this purse around (a style she never saw) and put the other two bags back and bought the purse the girl had. That was SUPPOSED to be her gift.

BUT.......

I went back and got her the laptop case (with a 20% off coupon of course) and then ordered her a customized ladies' Blackhawks jersey which I HOPE will be here by Thursday. It'll be kind of hard to hide it from her since she is off beginning Tuesday!
