I don't own one at the moment, but Seiko rates it to 100 meters, so I wouldn't worry at all about swimming or even snorkeling. I'd probably go with something else for diving though.another ? aswell. how much swimming do you do with this model?
That's easy to handle, you just need to bend slightly the end piece so that it does not move around or rattle. With solid end links you have to get one that is made specifically for the watch otherwise you will be in for quite a bit of dremel/filing work...it has a bracelet and its not to bad but the end links are not solid and i have one side of the watch makes an annoying sound because the end pieces move back and forth against the lugs.
If the crown is crooked as you say then it is not screwed in correctly and that is also the reason for one revolution only. Not that it has a long thread but the fact that it is crooked indicate a misaligned thread/screwing which also might mean that it is not water tight. I don't know if the stem is bent or if simply someone screwed this on wrongly. You might be able to correct the problem otherwise I would suggest get your SKX009 replaced.i know the skx won't fit but strapcode has an oyster, mesh and jubilee with what appears to be universal lug ends. what i'm really looking for is a bracelet with a small buckle width than the lug ends. 22mm lugs and 18mm buckle.
i am quite disappointed with a recent purchase from the bay. i bought a pepsi 009 and the first thing i noticed was the chapter ring was out of alignment. the second thing was that the crown was misaligned so much so that it rubbed against the crown protector, sporadically, i could live with all this but...the third thing is that the crown is hard to engage and only does 1 revolution to secure. i am ocd about a smooth operating crown and multiple rotations to secure.
is 1 revolution normal?
