There is a how to on the murphymanufacturing.com site that shows how to remove the bezel.
It was a bit more difficult than I expected but I was able to do it without marking the case.

You reuse the o-ring gasket from the original but thats all.

I think it is 100% better looking now.

I used a dagaz insert as well as dagaz adhesive.

According to the Murphy website, the bezel is not unidirectional / ratcheting.

I'm not sure what to make of that. Does the bezel still click and stay in place, but it'll just turn clockwise and counterclockwise?

I've owned a few, and they are pressure fit using the original bezel gasket. They turn either direction and do not click, but are nice and snug. Loved having one on my old SKX171 PMMM mod, and have one on my current Vostok Amphibia. Murphy manufacturing makes a very nice product.

Garrick is correct....it turns both ways.
Only the rubber o-ring gasket is reused.
It's a friction fit but is very snug.

The murphy bezel is a quality made in the USA piece.

There are a ton of bezel inserts available on ebay and other places.
I used a dagaz.

Both the bezel that ships from NY and the dagaz insert along with the adhesive
that ships from China arrived here in Canada in 1 week.

I'm very impressed with the quality and outcome to say the least.

Actually the hardest part was trying to decide what bezel insert to order...there are soooo
many to choose from.
