Did anyone have a chance to catch Slava's new Sadko yet?

The watch pays tribute to the original Slava Sadko diver from the 80's.
With just a few of the details including a 45mm coffin-like/bullhead-
like case, 500M WR, sapphire crystal, eye-catching dials, and bezels,
Slava 2427 movement, and stainless steel bracelets.

Some pictures...

I could almost live with the black/red dial and hands but the case shape kills it for me, but, I give them credit for trying something bold and different. Thanks for sharing Tom!

I could see myself wearing one of these.
Seiko diver and look alikes can get boring. Nice to mix it up with some unique styles.
Case reminds me of my Hexa K500.

I like your Hexa. Do they still make that watch or have they gone out of business?

馃榾 馃檪 Was thinking you guys might get a kick out of this one
one way, or the other. 馃槃 (y) Honestly can see both sides of
not liking, and liking this design. It definitely has a lot of different
things going on, along with ideas coming together. And the
case shape looks to be the main negative, or positive with
the Sadko.

However, guess it鈥檚 just w4tchi, and me in positive mode here
on this one. 馃槃 Guess it鈥檚 just fun, and a breath of fresh air to
see a different case-shape honestly. It definitely has that Hexa
K500 vibe, along with funky vintage feel imho.

Definitely interesting, along with fun to talk about you guys !
Thanks so much for chiming in, and sharing your thoughts !!!

They went out of business a few years ago, unfortunately. I have two, the other is the Osprey, which I also enjoy quite a bit.
They made some nice pieces, but I guess the watch business is tough.
Both models come up on eBay occasionally.

馃槃They are colorful Chaz, you're right. (y) One thing I will say though, is that
I think the huge pictures/renderings make everything look even bolder, and we
notice things more. ..The colors, the case, and everything are all magnified
imho. Honestly think if we saw these on someone's wrist, they would probably
look like regular round dive watches. All with pepsi, and coke-like color schemes.

But then again, I could be wrong sir. 馃檪

Just love your honesty sir. Thanks so very much !!!

I think that's what they refer to as a date corrector.

Holy cow, what an eye Jeff ! 馃槻(y) And wow, Steve, what a teacher ! 馃槈馃榾
Actually didn't even notice it, and would have thought it ws something for
releasing the bracelet, or something. Or maybe for the laser beam possibly. 馃槑

Such neat stuff guys !! ..Thanks a ton !!!

You nailed it, Steve! From the W&W article (I suppose reading helps):
Projecting outward from the case is the watch crown at about 2 o鈥檆lock, a date corrector at about 1 o鈥檆lock, and an automatic helium release valve at about 9 o鈥檆lock.
Though, I think a laser would be FAR cooler.

I've learned a lot about the nomenclature of watch hand styles since I signed up here and became a 'freek, but what is the squared-off-penis minute hand called?
