This will be replacing the other watch (Sinn 556) I've paid for ...
but the seller hasn't shipped it nor refunded my money.

Let's hope everything works out with the other watch, and then it's on
to just focusing on this incoming Sinn. 😎Which I have to say is one
terrific tegimented head turner ! And really, you have to wonder if the
556 not showing up was a blessing in disguise somehow. ..Because
the 836 has a lot the characteristics of the 556, but is just a bit larger
it seems. And I bet you got it for a nice deal as well !

So at the end of the day there is a silver lining to what's been going
on with the other Sinn sir. ..It's lead you to this beauty ! Wishing you
a SPECTACULAR Sinn congrats ahead of time !!!

That is a gorgeous watch! Such a clean dial and all the elements work. I’m a sucker for a 6 o’clock date window and always appreciate when the background matches the dial face. Congrats!

A big reason I originally settled for the 556 was money and availability; the 836 came in at twice+ the 556.

However this 836 is much closer to what I wanted (Materials, size, color, anti-magnetic); plus I got tired of waiting on the WatchBuys site.

Now I'm doing some pre-work on leather - just in case I don't like the OEM bracelet.

This time I ignored Cheap Charlie rules.

It's Monday night in Japan and I just received notification from the seller;
he provided a FedEx number and says he'll ship it out tomorrow (his time).

He also said I should expect delivery (included in sale price) Thursday or Friday. Just WOW!

Still no word (or refund) from the errant 556 seller.

I believe I've been discouraged from publicly outing this scoundrel - so what I will suggest is to read the feedback on sellers before making an eBay purchase.
Once resolved I intend to leave some scathing feedback.

For those not knowing what happened...
Seller marked my Sinn purchase as shipped, and collected the money.
As UPS tracking continued to show it hadn't been shipped I asked whats going on?
Seller admitted he did not ship item (says he lost it), but hasn't refunded my money nor acknowledge anymore messages.
eBay won't assist until time passes, Nov 9 at the earliest.

It gets "more stupid'er"

Once the eBay deadline passed the seller sent me a return label.
So this morning I sealed up an empty box and returned it (with a package slip stating I'm returning what I received - nothing).
Hours later eBay picked up the tracking number and said I should expect my money back within 3 days of delivery.

Reference my Sinn 836, FedEx has announce it's physically in their possession (Japan); too early to determine a specific delivery date.

It's kind of like their left hand doesn't know what their right hand
is doing, or already did Wrascal. 😮😄In essence you are just a
number, and they really don't know what your situation was, or is.
It's pretty crazy to hear about, but still not necessarily surprising unfortunately right?! 😐

That's what happens when it's (eBay) all run by robotics; at least initially there are no live people to intercede.

Last night (before I went to bed) my new Sinn was in Japan. This morning its in Memphis; still no posted delivery date - maybe waiting on customs?

You make a phenomenal point on the lack of human interaction sir.
I kind of forgot about the fact that there often is no one to go to, or
talk to with a lot of things. It’s similar to how you always used to have
to go on hold on the phone. Or still do, and have to say “speak to a
representative” in order to talk to someone. 😌

The rise of the machines, or robots has been happening for a while
when you think about it right?! 🤖 But here’s hoping this next Sinn
gets to you just fine ! 😀

I guess FedEx doesn't read their hold list - because they didn't. Fortunately (unfortunately) my bride is feeling poor so we stayed home (rescheduled for later in the week).

😄 It’s funny how things work out at times isn’t it Wrascal?!

You were all set to see the watch on Wednesday, but the then the
Watch Gods pulled a fast one on you I guess. And It really looks like
it all worked out for the best because this new 836 looks Sinnfully
good sir. 😉 I mean the design is right up your alley I think, and
should enjoy keeping your wrist company. ..As well as really get
along with your new Hamilton and Boldrs of course. It’s a timeless
look imho, not to mention a step up in quality right?!

From what I’ve heard about Sinn, this should be another winner
Wrascal. ..I hope that it is, and that you wear the heck out of it !
