I've been having a look on CreationWatches site at the various divers watches (on is en route from them right now)

Anyway, I'm looking at some models that vary by very little in price but looks virtually identical. For example the two below, are there any actual differences?

The model numbers differ but what are the differences? Confused haha

Aaah ok, that explains it. Thank you.

Apart from the appeal of having a JDM model, is there physically a difference (other than it saying Made in Japan)?
Nope.
I've found the quality to be the exact same between J and K models.

It's more of a mental issue or hang up I have....while the quality may be the same, I want my Toyota made in Japan instead of Made in Georgetown, KY. Your mental issues probably differ from mine though. Lol

Can see the appeal of having a Japanese model bearing in mind they're a Japanese brand.
Especially for such a small price difference. Good Luck with your decision
Agreed, with such a small difference in price, even I would likely get the "J" model. Often you can ask a slight amount more if you decide to flip it later over the "K" model as well.

I think you'll find that they are all made in China based on designs that are for Japan and other markets, which is why places like Creationwatches, Watchhubs etc can source the different models.

A majority of all Seiko watches are made in Japan and Malaysia, though they have production facilities in Singapore and China as well. All of the Prospex, Grand Seiko, and other luxury lines are still produced in Japan.

Bros:
I've bought a slue of watches in my 78 years.
It's apples n oranges between Japanese Domestic Market and
Malaysia. I've bought and flipped both.
What with Citizen/Miyota absorbing Bulova in 08, Invicta
absorbing TechnoMarine this year, blah blah blah it's dealers
choice buying watches nowadays.
With the exception of 2 watch companies, Shinola and
Blacklisted (correct me if I'm wrong) most watches aren't made
in the good ole USA anymore.
If you were a watch company owner would you rather pay
Malasians or Chinese 8 cents per hour or pay Americans $20.00
the hour. Profit Intensiveness is now the KING!!!
