Yowza, that’s a wonderful shot today sir ! 😮❄

I can see the snow from here, 😀 and the whole setting
is stunning to be honest. I mean it kind of reminds me of
a beautiful post card, or even Christmas card. One that
shows not only the city itself, but the hustle, and bustle
of all the people. It makes me want to go, and take a
a walk right now. Or maybe even go ice skating, or even
sleigh riding ! 😉(y)

Thanks a ton for putting this up for us to enjoy Frans !!!
This one is for you because I know you like this. Dipping down to -11C tonight. As you can see, the whole block is surrounded by new buildings because somehow it was spared during the WWII bombing. And again, completely restored. Amongst all the misery, lock downs and what not, this makes me happy. After working at our head office and driving home I pass that beautiful building.

Seriously cold snap going on in Europe right now
It is but it will end this Sunday. To all those who are just dying to go ice-skating that is disappointing because to be able to skate has become rare. Our police had to send people back today because there were just too many (Covid-19). It is how it is.

😊😀⛄(y) Well that is too kind of you sir, along with too
cool ! ❄ :D ..And it truly sounds cold there on your end
too sir. Wow, nice, and wintery, and I’m sure nice, and cozy
being inside. Then if you feel like walking, or even riding
one of those bikes that would be exhilarating I bet. 😉

Yeah, and holy cow, that really is something how that area
not only survived the bombings. But also has the brand new
buildings complimenting the old. It’s definitely something
which has to put a smile on your face sir. 🙂

Can’t thank you enough for posting this Frans, and by
the way..enjoy !!!

Are you operating that crane? That is a really cool shot.
No, this one is not taken by me :DBut building cranes and the sound of pile drivers have become synonymous for Rotterdam since WWII as the city never seems to be finished.

Yet another epic shot Frans ! 😎🤯

I swear I almost feel a little bit dizzy looking at it. It's just incredible !
And it looks so perfect, and flawless too by the way. Like it is CG,
or some touched up painting, or photo. Boy oh boy, what a view,
as well as city you have there. No matter what part of the area
you show us, it amazes Frans. And each one is like it's own little
masterpiece of awesomeness !!! :cool::D

Cannot thank you enough for always posting these for us like this !!! ;)

O.K. Frans, can you tell us about that bus which says it’s
bound for Detroit sir? 😲:D ..I mean that is a long trip if
I ever heard of one. 😄 Is there Detroit there? Or something?
Or did you guys actually bring this bus over there? o_O:)
Either way, it is extremely neat to see, and the bus itself
looks vintage from here, or at least a few years old.

Between the cool buses, and extraordinary waterways in
that second pic, I wouldn’t know what form of transportation
to take first. So so cool Frans ! Really beautiful, as well as
fascinating stuff ! 👀🥇🏆 Thanks once again for sharing !!!

Both are pictures I took in 2011. The bus was part of a day long treat by one of our major software suppliers and entailed an excursion through Rotterdam with various well chosen stops and ended with a copious dinner in the only three Michelin star restaurant in Rotterdam (since then changed owner and now 'just' two stars). Our programmer wasn't invited at first but I managed to get him 'on board' as well. The general manager of that company only held one speech in the small restaurant we all gathered (famous for their award winning meatballs) before we took off in a water taxi and it wasn't about sales. He just wanted us all to have a good time. And a good time we had! The irony of it all is that they went bankrupt in 2012. They made a restart after that. In the bus drinks were served as well and I have never encountered such an experience since. Below is the bus in front of the restaurant. (Parkheuvel of Park Hill in English and just 600 meters from our head office).

What an incredibly cool idea, as well as just neat gesture by
them Frans ! 🥇 🏆 You have to just love the way people
seemed to be much more personal, and hands on years
ago. That software supply company sounded like they had
some exceptional, and just plain fun people behind the
company. Such a great story sir ! :D

Am glad you had such a fantastic time, and you remember
the day so fondly. (y)(y) Thank you again Frans !!!

Love that shot Frans ! ;)(y)(y) The contrast of the cool buildings,
with some of them looking like UFO's, and then tress in the middle
of it all is just so beautiful. It's like a meeting of two worlds, the city,
and the country. With both teaming up, as well as getting along
perfectly. 🙂Actually has to be so neat to see every day it's not
even funny. I know I would be taking a walk there all the time if
I was living there.

Beautiful as always sir, thanks a lot for giving us a look Frans !!!

Love the old Grey Hound Bus. Those were the days!

Nice. You've showcased most of your hometown already by way of some stills but good to see it on video.

Markthal looks like an interesting apartment complex.

Yeah, was going to say the same thing about the architrcture
as #four Frans ! o_O:cool:

It’s unbelievable how many beautiful, as well as out of this world
structures there are sir.(y)(y) :alien: One second you feel like we
have taken a trip in a super cool time back in time, and are having
fun experiencing the past as it was there. ..Then a second later we
are transported into the future, experiencing spaceship like buildings,
bridges, and those remarkable, and unforgettable cube homes !

Between the architecture, and just epic landscape, and waterways,
it really has to be real joy living there. Because it’s been phenomenal
just seeing your pictures, and now floating over the city in this neat
video today. 😮🥇🏆 Thank you so so much Frans !!!
