You aren’t kidding Frans ! (y) (y) Nice enough to be a postcard !!! 😀
Or even another unforgettable painting sir. I mean you have the extra
stunning scenery near, and far. But then also love the mix of both old,
and new once again ! You see it with the surrounding buildings, and
structures one second, and then even in the boats themselves the
next. 😎 Hey, and how about the sky sir?! Pretty spectacular really!

Hope you don’t mind if I check this out for a little while longer Frans ! 🙂

THX very very much for sharing !!!
It's near the place I usually work ans in the centre of the Shipping District. I'll do some pictures of some of the more majestic buildings there. I had lunch at a new place called Bar Berta (named after the owner's dog). Tapeo del Fina (fine tapas) is what they serve. I made a reservation so we could sit at a table outside because they are gone first. It was very good and we had the time to talk and laugh. She and her boyfriend are in France now, they're on vacation. After France they'll go to Switzerland and then back home.

That is really fantastic Frans, and one epic shopping area !!! 😵🥇🏆
It actually seems like no matter what area you might be, or might
take pictures in that it's breathtaking honestly. 😉😀Can imagine
the outdoor dining has to be one of the hottest tickets nowadays
too like you are saying ! Between the amazingly beautiful scenery,
and people, it sounds phenomenal. Plus it seems you even get to
make friends at the same time. Awesome ! (y)(y)

Looking forward to those pics sir !!!

Yowza, could that be more beautiful Frans?! 😯 Honestly don't think so ! 😵
Your eye doesn't know where to go first really, and goes from one detail
to the next, and everything is a highlight as usual. Love just the buildings
like I always say, and how you have the vintage, and modern melding
together perfectly. Even the sidewalks, or pathways look like they were
created with such pride, and care. Love that ! 😉

Oh, and are those smoke stacks from a ship rising out of the ground?
Or some kind of extra cool art of some kind? ..In any case, it's really
something to see. Thanks a ton !!!

Well spotted Tom! Yes, these are smoke stacks as this is the exact spot where many emigrants left to try their luck in the 'New World'.

😀 Oh man, was thinking that's what they were, but wasn't sure. 🙂
It almost looks as if there is a ship hiding down below that is docked,
or sailing on by. Very cool, and a really cool learning the meaning
behind it also !

Thanks a lot for the picture, as well as telling us about it !!! (y)(y)

Frans, wow, that’s a cool shot, and gets you right in the mood
for all things autumn right?! 🍁 🍂 🎃 Just love this time of
the year honestly. Between the cooler weather, holidays, and
all the things that go along with them, it’s terrific. What’s neat
here, is seeing the amazing fall colors, but then also all of the
cool buildings, and everything. Such a fantastic contrast !! (y)(y)

Hope you really enjoy ! ..Thanks a ton for sharing !!!

The lower section of the building smack in the middle houses the offices where I usually work but I haven't set foot inside since 16 March because of the current situation. But I don't mind.

Well that’s cool huh Frans?! (y) 😉

So it’s entirely different view of the city than you usually would
get from your building then. Now is that a park below? Or just
the way the landscape is around the city?

In any case, it really is beautiful !

It's a park. This picture was taken from the Euromast which was finished in 1960, the park was re-landscaped in 1960 as well because of the Floriade exhibition that year. We used to stroll though that park every working day but not now.

Very nice Frans. 🙂 Thank you for the lesson about it, and everything.
Here’s hoping that you will be able to take a walk through there in the
not too distant future. Can imagine it’s incredibly beautiful in the winter
as well. Or any time of the year. 😉

It may seem unlikely but this is Rotterdam as well. Rotterdam is still home to several windmills and this is one of them, located on one of the oldest roads in South-Rotterdam. De Kromme Zandweg, which translates to 'The Crooked Sandy Road'. Sandy Road Mill:

So Rotterdam has it all it looks like Frans ! (y)🙂

One minute you are in a city, that blends both the old, and new together
in the nicest of ways. Then a short drive away, you are transported to the
coolest of picturesque landscapes, and towns. And it's evidently all in the
same place ! 🤯😀😎 By the way, just love the look of this picture here.
Actually almost feels like a beach town, or a house, and lighthouse near
the ocean I mean. So so nice sir !

Thanks so so much for sharing !!!

This is 'The Stll', it was completely rebuilt in 1986. It is called The Still because it used to be a grain mill situated in the heart of the Jenever (Dutch Gin) district. It was tied to that industry but now it produces all kinds of flour for hobby bread bakers. That district by the way is Delfshaven, where the Pilgrim Fathers left on the Speedwell for Southampton. The church from 1417 is named after them.

Yes, this is my hometown!
