Very nice Frans, and with the colors you won’t have
to worry about misplacing them. Or not finding them.
At first glance, had thought they were vests possibly.
Or might be worn by the people on the boats above.
They are really something sir ! 🙂

O.K., now that is epic Frans ! 😵😯 Seeing the beautiful buildings is
breathtaking all by itself. However, the way they team up with the cruise
ships is beyond cool imho. It's like they extend the look of the buildings
right out onto the water. Or are these cool floating buildings themselves !
It's really captivating, and honestly just is neat to see how those huge
ships can fit in the waterway like that. 🤯

Oh, and love 'The Pencil' too btw ! It really does look like a pencil. But
also like a giant old time home you might see in village, or Christmas
village, or scene. Wow !😀 Thanks so very much for sharing !!!

Hey, I remember this view Frans, and thinking that was water
back behind the station. 😊 But this time it looks like we have
either a sunset, or a sunrise that is happening ! 😯 The cool
shadows, along with the reflections are fantastic, and give a
whole different feel to the area !

Every shot could be like a separate postcard from the city
when you think about it. Thanks so much for sharing sir !!!

It was yesterday's sunset, at 21.55. I go to that web cam a couple of times a week and yesterday this view came on-screen and I captured it right away. Quite stunning.

😎(y) Very cool Frans, and can see why you check that cam every
once in a while like that ! 😀 Because you never know what the area,
or way the picture is going to look. Or just how nice it wll look on any
given day. It really is great, and probably so much fun just to check in
on all of the time. Thanks once again Frans !!!

Now that's a city hall Frans ! 😲😎 You know, you really have to
hand it to designers, and architects from years ago. The level of
detail always gets me, and it's staggering to be totally honest here ! 😵
Nowadays, it seems buildings get colder, and colder feeling. Even
though the technology in building has evidently gotten better.

You have to marvel at buildings like this imho. There is a genuine
warmth, and almost majestic quality. Not to mention real history
behind it too Frans ! Thanks very much for the look !!!

I'll see if I can find pictures of the interior, think acres of brown-red marble and ceiling high mahogany doors. We were married there and the whole setting is very grand. The centre of the building now houses an administrative department where you go to have your drivers licence or passport renewed, etc. Picture static and bland cubicles and counters placed smack in the middle of a grand hall. Blehhhh! But this is how it goes. Depressing.

Oh nice, that must have been incredible getting married there
like that sir ! 😮 Can only imagine how unforgettable a day,
along with setting. But if it was anything like the outside, then
it must have been phenomenal ! ..One more thing Frans, even
though you are saying it isn’t the same anymore. At least it is
still there, and is being enjoyed by people. 🙂(y)

Unbelievably nice, and fascinating to find out about. Thanks
so much for sharing !

I've learned more Tom. During the devastating bombing of the city in 1940, the building was deliberately spared because the German occupiers wanted to turn it into their headquarters. (I can see why). And most of the capital needed to construct it came from wealthy entrepreneurs, businessmen and benefactors because Rotterdam has always been a 'poor' city. Although poor is relative notion now. The building has undergone a major outside restoration because after 85 years of weather influences, air pollution and exaust fumes the bright stone had turned dark grey. This became a major debacle because the company that started this renovation went bankrupt halfway the job and after the second party finished that job (19 months behind schedule) the budget had tripled. Because of that, one of the City Councillors responsible had to leave.

Yowza Frans, you really did learn a lot more, and I think it makes
the building that much more impressive, and triumphant. I mean
just the fact that it made it through the bombings was fortunate.
However, then to be returned to it's former glory years later had
to be so inspiring to everyone. It's unbelievable ! (y) (y)

Oh, and even though it took a while, and there were some ups,
and downs a long the way. It looks like it was all worth the wait.
Patience really is a virtue Frans ! 😉 Such a stunning place !

Thanks so much once again sir !!!

Would you look at that Frans ! 😲 It seems like the ships, not to
mention pier, goes on forever. That is an impressive site to see,
and how about all of the gigantic cranes looming overhead like
that?! Pretty remarkable, along with epic ! 😎 Just the way all
of the shipping containers are stacked always amazes me too.
Incredible sir, and incredibly fun to see ! 😀

Thank you Frans !!!
