Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is an officially certified, self-winding chronometer wristwatch with chronograph functions. From its beginnings in 1961, the Cosmograph, Cosmograph Daytona and Oyster Cosmograph Daytona chronographs were produced continuously until 1988, when they were replaced with versions featuring self-winding movements, from Zenith’s El Primero caliber, under the name Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph. Since 2000, Rolex began manufacturing its own movements and developed the Rolex 4130 caliber (model number: 116520). Due to its limited production and increasing popularity, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is considered a rare watch to own.

I believe they were the "first" to put it on the dial, lol. So for them, it is true. For everyone else it would be presumptuous right? lol

the Invicta Speedway -was probably the last decent piece Invicta came out with IMHO -some will disagree with me

it (the speedway) is a very nicely done homage to the daytona

i consider it to be a "poor man's Daytona"

really nice piece -my wife loves it
(as its 40mm and just too small for me):%:%:%:%:%

If they mean first, I'd say Zenith might argue, if they mean best, I think that's presumptuous.

If I could afford one, it might matter, LOL

it is pretty amazing how much of a copy that picture of the Invcita is compared to the picture of the Rolex. It is almost identical. pretty amazing.

I would say that this very expensive watch has been the motivation for many many brands similar versions.

IMHO . . . the automatic chronograph in the Daytona is one of the best in the world!

It is an absolute engineering masterpiece!

No one EVER thinks a Rolex is worth the money (and even I don't think they're worth the RETAIL Price), however, out of any watch that they make . . . this model comes closest to "earning it's price tag".

There is no other watch that carries this movement.

The caliber 4130, 44-Jewel, COSC movement is just . . . WOW!!!
