Some of their watches may actually be limited edition, like the dual time zone. They made 10,000 0r so, but that one is a limited edition made as an otv. Now another watch they brought back, the wildebeast diver 48mm does say limited production on the back, so I beleive they have made the changes that were needed.

....and that may be so but understand my skepticism.
I have little faith; I do not believe that integrity is something you gain just because you were caught without it. Again, my two cents..:)

Can't argue with you, the Renato's that I own are some of my favorites. My issue has never been with the quality or appeal of the brand. Unfortunately the "LE" issue has tainted my opinion on future purchases......:(

Understood and agree. Bottom line IMO is - they make a fine watch and sometimes you can pick them up very reasonably.

You know, it did bother me alot.......until I saw a watch that really caught my eye (as if that was something new-LOL). So, I decided to buy 1 again, only because it wasn'toverly busy on the dial - have those; and it had white carbon fiber, which different from anything I own and really dresses up the SS. IT will likely be my last Renato. This one is "limited production".

Sorry about the size opf the pic -borrowed it from the site.

I agree with Randyswagon 100%.
It might be "limited edition" today, but who is to say they wont backtrack on their promises YET AGAIN in the future and make more with some creative use of semantics. How many times does a company have to potentially deceive their customers with this same exact situation before the customers move on to other brands. I won't buy one personally.

I have one (an earlier Wildebeast) and it is a nice enough watch.

My biggest gripe with Renato has been how hard it is to read the time on so many dials...

whether they were limited editions or not, the ability to actually read the time certainly was limited!

WOW, I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels like I do about Renato and Daniel Mink! When this whole issue about the numbering and limited issue and limited edition, and then Mink's ensuing reasoning for the mistakes and the apology, I said forget you! I sold my Renato and vowed I'll never buy one again. When the owner of a company has a serious credibility gap and thus zero ethics I refuse to buy from them! So Renato will never be again in my watch box!

I've owned 6 Renato watches, and currently have "0".

I like the older designs (Beast, Wilde-Beast, Vulcan, Cyclops, Stallion), but not enough to have kept them. I think I really wanted auto versions (but settled for the G10 versions) . . . and became dissatisfied. I don't like anything new from Renato, at all. :(

Have to agree with most of you guys.....not into Renato's either. I have just 1 Renato, the Beast Dual Time in TT Gold and Blue. It's still the only one I like. I saw a couple of one's last night that looked interesting to start with, but that was about it. One had a Rhonda 5040 movement that they had modified..but the dial was way to busy...had so many pointers and sub dials it wasn't funny. Another one had a G10 in it...and I won't pay $400+ for a watch with a G10 in it. I ended up recording it and going to bed....I've got a long day ahead of me and I needed the rest!!!

You F-ing people need too either jump on board with the screwing or let it go! Whats wrong with you guys? LOL

They did have some cool earlier designs, wont dispute that. However the new stuff is FUGLY IMHO, I could care less about the LE portion of this debate, Isnt the first time and wont be the last. Mink never really had my eye, too begin with.

Clearly Renato has figured two things out;

1. They can screw their customers and the customers will keep buying their product.

2. They can manufacturer far more watches if they use inexpensive movements and still charge ridiculous prices. Next we will see the new "Rat Droppings" movements and be told by "that salesman" how great they are (and people will buy it).

I don't have a Renato.

Gotta go with Ron on this one, no matter what the issues, they just don't do anything for me.

I might have crap taste but, that's how I feel about this brand.

When I first started looking at Renatos it seemed like every watch was a LE and then it would come out again with a minor change and again another LE. Not really for me as most look pretty much the same and a bit pricey. The only one I saw I liked is one that Arnie11 has. A older version rose gold (ofcourse) with a MOP dial. Now that one was sweet.
