Saw the presentation on this one tonight and for the life of me I just HATE the words "Limited Edition" written on the actual bezel like that. So before I even consider the rest of the watch that is all I see.

Maybe others like it, but I really think it cheapens the look of the watch IMO.

A powerful offering with enduring construction and a desirable Swiss Valjoux Automatic movement from industry leader Renato! This limited edition T-Rex diver timepiece centers on a silver-tone round case constructed from stainless steel. An exhibition back reveals the inner workings of the movement. The blue unidirectional rotating divers bezel complements the blue dial. A pave diamond accent distinguishes the screw down crown with function pushers.
A scratch resistant sapphire crystal safeguards the round blue dial. Luminous gold-tone index markers appear at all hour positions. Renato places an hour subdial near 6:00, seconds subdial beside 9:00 and minute subdial near 12:00. Gold-tone hands keep you right on time. A Swiss Valjoux 7750 Automatic movement powers the distinguished timepiece. A day and date window near 3:00 finishes the dial execution.
The stainless steel bracelet, which features a combination of silver-tone outer links and polished gold-tone inner links, attaches confidently with a push button dual deployant clasp. Discover this handsome limited Edition T-Rex timepiece today!

It is a big watch. So if you like a large, like 50+ mm watch and want the 7750 movement, there are not really many options out there at that size. So I understand that part of it, but still cant get by the words on the dial.

I don't care what they write on the bezel...there is just no way this watch is worth over $1200....I can name a host of 7750's that I would rather have in my collection then this LE piece of.....you get the point.

Despite how many of us may feel about Renato and their timepieces, they continue to increase their fan base substantially. Personally, I love alot of their timepieces, but got tired of the severe overpricing from Shop. Ain't know way that a battery watch even with all that is touted by them is worth what they are charging. But people continue to buy and so the market facilitates the market. It's whatever the traffic will bear and that's it! I love the new Calibre Buzo variations or at least some of them, but the rosetone?? Over $700 for a battery???? Shewt!!! I just bought an SO Tourby for that money!!!!! You get the point. Fact is, I just traded for a rosetone original style Vulcan. Traded my black IP Bolt to Marlin aka Silver13watch on "Geeks" for it. Vulcan is "GAWGIZ"!!!! But would I have bought it?? NO! I now have about 12 Renatos, but I haven't purchased any new in years. Just don't see the value in them at all.

You guys are right. Even with the 7750 in it, no bang for the buck whatsoever. JMHO, but as long as guys are willing to pay it, they will sell it for that.

LOL ................. ain't value pays a beautiful thing!!! :%:c:b:lol

TV brand junk?I would put Renatos quality up against any brand out there and their CS actually helps people.Show me another 50mm 1000M diver with a 7750 for anywhere near that price. The only watch I can think of is the Invicta Venom kit with the Valgrange movement for over $1,600 and how many problems did that model have?Stripped screws and moldy straps just to name two!Have any of you heard of ANY Renatos having those kind of problems? If I had the money I would buy it in a second.I understand people are still mad at them for the limited edition fiasco but junk is one thing Renatos are not. They probably changed the bezel and the dial from the original LE so it would be different.I'm sure they didn't want another limited edition problem.
I only have 2 Renatos and they are some of the best built watches I have or have seen and they didn't come with defects. These watches are true hand built "Reserve" quality.I do agree that if you want a watch for resale value then Renato is not the brand for you unless you know a Renato collector.I buy watches to wear not to sell so this is not a problem for me.There might be better brand NAMES out there for that price but not a better built watch.

My issue with the very first initial post in this thread was specifically with the words "limited edition" being printed on the bezel, and my personal dislike of this.

My response wasn't aimed at you.I understand not liking the words on the bezel. My response was to a couple of the other posts that said they were TV junk and not worth the money.
