Hi all. I purchased this watch for my wife on a whim and she does like it. Keeps good time and has about 48 hour power reserve. it appears to me to be an Oris Modern Classic 640 movement model 7461.

I can't find a pic on the Oris site but I think this was produced in the early 90s.

I don't think it is a replica. Should be a 2836-2 movement unchanged but branded by Oris. The 641 could be certified.

I'm hoping its real as the Admiral likes it. Maybe I can sell her plain jane Rolex and buy myself something. I just acquired a pristine Speedmaster 3 date but my eyesight has gotten so bad I can't see as much as I'd like.

Sorry about the pics but I can't get the Nikon to work.

Hello and welcome.
Looks real to me.
In the early 90's fakes were not as good as they apparently are now (scary good sometimes...and it's sad)

But usually reps don't go to the trouble to brand and mark the movement like that.
If you do have any doubts see if you can find an Oris Ad on your area and have someone take a look at it to be sure.
