Has anyone had time to catch this one from Orient?

Their new King Diver 70th Anniversary Edition is the first of many
watches to come that will help celebrate Orient's 70th birthday. With
this watch here taking you back to 1965 with the original Weekly Auto
Orient King Diver design.

Just a few of the details will include a 43.8mm stainless steel, or black
PVD cases, 200m WR, mineral crystals, black, red, green, blue, and gold
dials, stainless steel bracelets, and Calibre F6922 as well.

Check it out...

W&W with even more for you...

Orient upping their game. I absolutely love the thin case, red and gold dials, the double crowns, the internal bezel and of course the in house hacking movement.
Don't like all the useless writing on the dial. Or the hiked up price for what is supposed to be an entry level automatic. But hey, Overall. IMO, might be one of their best pieces ever. Thanks again Tom. :)

That "Weekly Auto Orient" text is a lot to take but I have to admire them sticking to the original design.
Was thinking the same exact thing about the writing, or name on the
dial Forza, and Eric !! 😀😀

It's seems like a lot right?! But evidently it really was Orient just sticking
to the original look. Pretty cool honestly, and once again, it's something
new that helps us learn about something from the past. (y)(y) Now if
we could just bring back those prices from the past. 😄

Seriously though, it does offer some of that dual crown, inner bezel,
compressor style awesomeness ! Not to mention the cool in-house
movement too.

Am so happy that you guys enjoyed !! ..Thank YOU !!!

It's such a beautiful color Henry, and adds another level of class to
the watch imho. 😎 🥇And you know, there has been a cool trend
toward burgundy dials recently. So you are on the cutting edge sir ! 😀

Really like the gold on. I like black/gold color combo. but I’m a bit put off by the “Weekly Auto Orient” it sounds cheesy.

That one is outstanding as well Gary. (y)

With the color of the dial, gold accents, along with finish
of the case it really has a high end feel about it. 😉 And
although the ‘Weekly Auto Orient’ takes up a little extra
space, the watch is still really sweet I think sir.

But I get how it might bug a lot of people too, and really
appreciate you chiming in about them !!!

I've meant to ask about these King Diver watches' names like Full Auto and Weekly Auto. What does it mean? :D

I bought one exactly like this model (black dial, NOS with bracelet) many years ago. Later sold to a friend.

IMO, these vintage SK Divers and King Divers are interesting, especially the Kings, but they are rare. :)

It’s a great question Henry. 😀

They never seem to explain it really. But rather say that is
takes us back to the original 1965 watch, and was the very
beginning of the King Diver line. 🙂 It was also unique, and
maybe helped the watch stand out possibly.

Speaking of standing out, those rainbow divers were, or
still are awesome sir ! 😎 They are one of those watches
that you instantly know what they are from a mile away
right?!

Thanks so much for the look, as well as just your thoughts !
